Our divisions are a good thing. The way nations divide patterns of thinking amongst the thought patterns of different nations is good. This works more effectively at producing thinking that would not have otherwise occured if the world was one nation.
We need MORE divisions and borders, not less.
The less we're divided, the less we create, the increase in likelihood that we destroy our one world nation.
A divided world allows nations to created checks and balances on each other when they objectively fuck up, while having greater flexibility at their own subjective values.

Communism only managed to get as far as it did because it was forced to recognize multiple realities that were not properly accounted for by Marxist theory such as national identities being stronger than class identities and central planning being really hard to do. The worldwide Communist Revolution by the working class never happened and they ended up stuck with individual countries loosely bound in their fight against the First World. They were all nationalist to some degree because the ideal of internationalism was a failure. Ironically capitalism did a much better job of dissolving national and ethnic sentiment and international corporations were a lefty boogieman not so long ago (with some justification) before the Left went full bourgeois.
Also, Nazism was basically pragmatic nationalist socialism, which is similar enough.
