I absolutely agree with this, but aside the "muh white people ar bettur" meme the reason scientific progress was so fast in Europe was also due to the harsh living conditions. For the majority of Europe's relevant lifespan it was in a mini ice age. You had about 5 months of the year to build things, get food, explore and trade to a decent capacity before everything was basically frozen and cold and people died to starvation all the time. Any innovation to make systems of trade or building etc etc were welcomed and constantly driven for because it made life slight easier in those 7 months that it was cold and sucked.
In the rest of the world overwhelmingly you didn't have 7 months of "go outside for more than an hour without proper clothing and get hypothermia and die".
But yes, Christianity was also a huge and significant factor in driving forward progress in Europe, despite how much the church hurt controversial (to their beliefs) scientific progress.
