So my marine recruiter contacted me after months of not talking to eachother saying he could "pull some strings" to get me enlisted instead of me getting 15 credits bc I have a GED. This might be just me but it sounds sketchy as if we are about to go to war. Thoughts?

Not really the place for this, but he is likely just behind on his quota. I had something similar, except with Navy and Air Force recruiters calling me for over a year after joining the Army.

Marines don't even need to advertise. The one near my house hits their quota every month within 2 days without even reaching out to people. They actually reject almost everybody because so many people want to join

Army is the one with a hard time meeting quota.
I'm pretty sure you're in the south like me, the military never has a hard time recruiting in this region. It's more in liberal states they have a hard time recruiting.

There was a guy who walked in and said he was thinking about joining the Marines or Army Rangers. Dude looked like an absolute monster. Staff Sergeant said "Let me make the choice easier, we don't want any Army faggots." And gave him a business card for the Army recruiter
