This means nothing but is played up by the loyalists to demoralize the rebels.
The coup was organized by the airforce and gendarmes. The loyalists are mostly militarized police and islamist civilian rabble being used by Erdogan as human shields.
Unaligned elements of the military will need to decide which side to support, and they will certainly wait and choose the winning side. That is why propaganda is so important.
