Fuel load is also important here. The 767 was full of fuel as it had just taken off and the B-25 would have very little fuel left since it was about to land. I'd also guess that the B-25 used a lower grade of fuel that didn't burn as hot since it was a piston engine aircraft but that's just a guess.
