I can't deny I'm disappointed, but perhaps this whole VP issue is unimportant in the long run, and the lull in the campaign in general since the primaries has just led us to amplify it into something it's not, as well as the delay in deciding and announcing it. I don't like the VP thing in general - why should it be such a big part of the campaign at all? - but I suppose that's just the way it is.
A missed opportunity, perhaps, but Trump obviously thought it necessary to throw a bone to the party. Maybe some deals were struck that will now see them start to support him more wholeheartedly.
