Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan or the Romans understood assimilation by intermarriage. This is how empires were sustained and alliances maintained. If Trump supporters new to politics continue warring against the old GOP then this disunity serves the Democrats, who are consolidating and could end up with higher numbers. There's no reason their worst candidate ever should be tied, let alone ahead, but that there are divisions on the right.
