They're about an average car's width plus about 2 feet or so, but those are interstates. Most highways are just barely wider than the average car. But anywhere you go its always the stupid/slow drivers that back up traffic. Or people slowing down the look at an accident. The drivers in the bay area are especially entitled and drive like assholes.
