Objectively there is no right and wrong in history. History is basically a bunch of different people following different ideologies. There is no false ideology or agenda. An ideology is the elevated state of an individual's fears, love, and desires. To claim that a certain ideology or part of history is objectively wrong is to deny this individual's human emotion and portray him as a heartless monster.
Ask them about the time they where pushing to fight an african warlord by the name of kony and his child soldiers.

what year it is is arbitrary, history doesn't have sides, it isn't going towards a utopia; this has been proven countless times. progress is an illusion based on technology + social manipulation. for the latter ask them if they think the world reallly changed this much from 2010 or if one side has been intimidated and silenced, if one side has used well-funded activists groups to meme the masses (all the "-phobias" were created by think tanks) and a complicit media. tell them it is not a coincidence the financial concerns of the ruling class (open borders, bad trad deals) coincide with this notion of "progress"...
