Whenever I see a 'video game enthusiast' at 20 or older, they're always losers who need video games as escapism and an achievement simulator.
What can be done about this to make people productive and ambitious again?

I played vidya from like 1992-2001, from the ages of 7-16. Then, my computer became shit and I could only play CS 1.6 and Warcraft 3 RoC (Dota and Ladder 1v1s)
Didn't really care for gaming, and I had work and went to university and graduated. Got a job and shit was good and when I was 26, I saw Skyrim come out in 2011 and I just HAD to play it. Mod'd my brother's stolen X-box 360 and played the shit out of Skyrim. Played other games, but not as much.
Held down a steady job, worked out, got bitches.
Now, in 2016, I just built my new gaming rig and play games like Homeworld and Fallout 4.
I have plenty in savings, I travel and have fun.
This meme of "Gamers are losers" is fucking weak, when you subject to even a tiny bit of scrutiny. How is this any different than being an avid sports player, which I like by the way. I still kill at the gym and have other interests.
