It's a small country with too many people (pop. density).
Everytime I was on holiday and came back (even if it was scottland), Germany felt incredibly tense.
Stick in ass, constant stress, sterile.
I despise it.
People care onl about themselves, but not quiet actually, more what people think of them.

For the most part honest and hard working people, especially people from the rhineland areas. Had a few room mates who were German, always upstanding guys on who you could count. It also really helps if you speak their language, German humour doesn't translate very well into English.
It's good to see that some of the younger generation is understanding that they are not responsible for the things their (great)grandparents did. Although they are still a bit prude on racist issues, even by Dutch standards.

I like some of them.
What I don't like is their tendency to think less of people if they don't agree with them. I cannot stand their approach to business or any sort of planning. If they get an idea in their head, they will attempt to change everything else to make it work. Their approach to team work is essentially everyone agreeing something is the best thing to do, then eliminating any evidence to the contrary instead of attempting to make things work.
I prefer Austrians. Individually, I've liked a lot of the Germans I have met but when it comes down to a prolonged time with them I've found them underhand and awkward.

My parents raised me with quite liberal values, in a positive sense, they wanted me to question everyone and everything especially people in positions of authority.
My family is quite old, we even have a book that traces the last 500 years of our ancestry, so I was also raised with some pride for my heritage. Quite a strange mixture to be honest.
The school system tried to press modern "liberal" values on me, but I was lucky to be on a school that tried to empower students to debate and think for themselves, an opportunity that I took.
So most of my school time I was in debates with my liberal teacher, me being a charismatic and respectful person , they still all ended up liking me quite a lot, while I dropped some serious loads of red pills over my school.

Only ever met three Germans (as in from Germany of course) who I was aware are Germans in my life, so I'll just share those stories.
First was when I was a lot younger, my parents hired a home electrician to fix something and it was obvious by his accent he was German. He was really polite. Second time was when I was working as a cashier at a grocery store. There were these two men from Germany talking with one of the managers (she was a bitch) while I took care of the order. Apparently they were best friends and one of them married the others ex-wife, which was apparently the manager heard about before. My manager let them know she was German too, one of them chuckled and asked her to say something in German and she couldn't. Third time was when I was at college. I never really talked to this guy on my dorm floor, but he hung the flag of East Germany on his window all year so he was probably part of the SJW cult.
Overall my heart goes out to Germans for how much they've been through. I really like their food, architecture, and culture. I hope they can overcome the Merkelreich but sadly most Germans don't seem to want this as much as I do.

Went to Berlin. People seem very tense and not realy happy. The only happy people were the homosexuals and people on drugs. It was very many leftists and grafitti there. To be honest this is the only way i have ever encounterd austrians. I was in a bar, drinking with my friends from diffrent martials arts i practice and ther we met a group from Vienna. I'm only half German and I come up with constant ideas for inventions, solutions, and electronics. Once I complete my degree the world is going to be a better place. I have an extremely well thought out idea in place for a game now that I will put on my website before the end of the year along with my comic book.
I can appreciate my Scandinavian and British genes but I owe everything to my German genes, I wouldn't be nearly as smart without them.

Okay, so I am in college now, but I can tell you what I know from the Germans I've met in German class and drivers ed in high school. So Philip was the first one. He was in my drivers ed class. Nice guy, good sense of humor, but seemed somewhat pretentious. The second and third were Leah and her brother, (I FORGOT HIS NAME) both decent people I suppose, but again extremely pretentious and fucking liberal apologists. Also, they often interrupted class and with profane and not that funny jokes. Not like im a sperg. I have a fucked sense of humor, it just was, I don't know, forced?
That's it. Overall, I think they are pretentious fucks, they need to learn some manners, (i'm in the south) and stop apologizing and gain a sense of fuckin nationalism.

many of my closest friends are german - they're loyal and supportive, good buddies
i prefer southern bavarian culture to northern german culture, but then again, i am a southerner (texan)
i found germans polite to a fault, considerate, overtly work focused & interested in discussing politics (mostly out of fear/misunderstanding than genuine interest)
they are also judgmental, image-focused, and conformist (as previously mentioned)
i had an overall pleasant experience with native germans and my life is empty without german bread. but i'm heading back next month for another couple of months
