UFO spotters have raised the alarm after the International Space Station live feed cut out just as a large mysterious object appeared to enter Earth's atmosphere.
The incident occurred on July 9 and was first reported by prolific UFO hunter Streetcap1 in a video uploaded the same day.
The enthusiast did not directly imply that the object was an alien spacecraft saying: “This could well be a meteor or the like.

After about 15 minutes, it suddenly flew extremely-fast at a 90-degree angle straight up into the sky (making no noise) and disappeared.

Except planets less massive than Earth have their molten cores cool too fast, which means no magnetosphere i.e. Mars.
Plus there are plenty of other ways to reach orbit other than chemical rockets, we just use that because it's cheap (relatively) and easy.
Being on a more massive planet than Earth might slow down a species' ascent to space but it's not an absolute block.
As I said, planets less massive than Earth aren't likely to have magnetospheres so their atmosphere will get stripped away, which is much more of a block to spacefaring species developing than more powerful gravity.
