Humans aren't naturally good or bad because those concepts don't exist in nature. They are man made, and cannot exist without humans. Good and bad aren't like freezing and boiling, they are not absolute.

For exemple, a young Maple tree will start as a little branch with a couple leaves, but when mature it is a strong tree, much larger, stronger, tall, with a multitude of branches and leaves.

I believe people are inherently well meaning, even though we often act selfishly and corrupt.
