I don't particularly see EU having much of a choice. Only way China can get to the mainland US is either through Europe or by crossing the Pacific. Would be difficult to cross the Pacific due to the distance and Hawaii acting as a military base which is more than capable of detecting any naval/air activity as there are no land marks to block or inhibit signal. 2. You understand what war does to a nation's economy right? Imports are reduced and local production is increased.
