Dick himself stated a week or two ago that he had no clue what Maddox was talking about. Given that he flaunts being a degenerate alcoholic and habitual drug user. Perhaps it might be something criminal and Dick is playing it cool. But Dick is the only person willing to talk about their breakup.
According to what I've read on some forums, Maddox apparently ceased all contact with Dick 2 episodes before The Biggest Problem in the Universe ended and didn't even give Dick a shout out on the last episode. Maddox literally thanked everyone but Dick. And even blocked Dick on all forms of social media, so even Dick apparently doesn't know what his problem is.
It's sad because I thought they had fantastic comedic chemistry and Dick was essential in dulling out Maddox's edginess. While I like Dick's show better, it is missing Maddox's signature aspie-edge. The whole point of Dick's new show is to find a co-host like Maddox. And you can tell that Dick still has a lot of respect for Maddox, and misses him; just by the way he talks about him. On a side note: I was thinking about applying to be a co-host on Dick's show. But the problem is that we're both lolbertarians, so I'd have to develop a character just to counter his talking points. Which I could do, but I feel like it might possibly not come off as 100% genuine.

Well, admittedly the cards are stacked against me because I'm essentially a nobody - and that wouldn't give him an initial boost to his ratings/listeners. But I have a few good ideas and subjects that we could possibly argue/rage on. But more importantly I can relate to Dick and I know I could keep a solid and perpetual conversation/argument going with him: Because I was essentially him in my teenage years, up to my mid twenties. Probably another positive part of me is that I don't stutter, or add "ums", and "like" in every sentence like most of my west coast "valley" counterparts.
Another hindrance might be my voice, it's sort of nasally and condescending - not the sort of "radio voice" that people look for to put on the air. But when I think about it, I do sort of sound like Maddox. The real trick for me, is to just find a point of contention with Dick, and "rage" about it; I feel like it would make for great comedic material. Also, since I'm a go-with-the-flow kind of guy, I feel like we'd get along, and wouldn't have personal contentions with him like Maddox and Dick did behind the scenes. That contention is bad for a professional relationship, and I think it's important to remember at the end of the day, you just gotta let it go.
But after all that rambling, he probably wouldn't pick me. I've noticed he picks a lot of friends and individuals who are close to him. Since we've never met, I'd probably be brushed off, and that's okay. I just hope he lands up finding more success as I genuinely like Dick as a person.
