She wants the UK to become the largest military power in Europe, and is in favour of expanding our submarine fleets etc. Honestly, I think she can see that the would is becoming more and more unstable, the current period mirroring the interwar period, as nations fall, and extremist groups become more popular after economic crises. This is still a bizarre statement to make and it also shows the double standard between Christianity and Islam, by which people would be unwilling to sympathize former and do so for the latter. In our liberal society, what does Sharia offer would could garner sympathy from a popular politician? Is it chastity? Heterosexuality? Religious devotion? I don't see why she would have made these statements unless she was trying to pander to a particular crowd.
