Isn't religion a greater factor than race? Ireland is basically the same race, yet they had their whole fiasco for decades. Yet even then, India, for example, was pretty fine conflict wise prior to the Brits coming in. Some muslims ruled hindus, some hindus ruled muslims, some sikhs did their own thing, and wars were between kingdoms.

Here's my one argument against this. Otherwise, this is up to each ones way of thinking, and I can respect where you're coming from for this on that next statement. Something that I just found out this week, and something maybe you don't know yet, is that the Aztec empire was on par with Europe advancement wise in most areas except metallurgy and weaponry (they never had a reason to make swords, obsidian edges were plenty sharp and easy to find). You can only blame colonialism so much, so I won't try to blame Africa's and South Asia's level of advancement on that. However, a shared trend amongst these countries is corruption, which I believe is the fault of the early governments. If we take a country with low corruption like Senegal, it's doing quite well. It doesn't have that many years as a country under its belt, but today it doesn't have many serious problems, and they're even contributing their own military to help out other nations. Once (if) Senegal reaches the level of technology and economy as that of Western countries in their 20th century primes, I'm sure that they'd be compatible with Western culture. I think the issue is assimilation. If you take a caveman adult and plop him in today's usa, he'd be a big problem. However, it's been kinda agreed by anthropologists that a cavebaby of 20 000 millenia ago could grow up normally today without a hitch provided he had the same upbringing. Applying this to immigrants, I don't see how immigrants who are open to learning and taking on new cultures would be a problem for society.
