Think about just this one facet of it: if a billionaire can get someone elected that will lower their taxes 1%, and let's say it's an even billion income, they can spend up to $9,999,999 and still come out with $1 savings. For a person making $50,000 that number would be....$499. Who has more power, the guy donating 9 mil or 400 bucks?
It's probably the biggest flaw in our system and why we've systematically weakened and destroyed the middle class for the last 100 years.
