Has Trump gone too far with this? I mean, Hussein committed fucking genocide against the Kurds with gas, not to mention starting and escalating a brutal-ww1-trench-warfare-style war with Iran.

http://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2016-election/donald-trump-praises-saddam-hussein-s-approach-terrorism-again-n604411

>"Saddam Hussein throws a little gas, everyone goes crazy, 'oh he's using gas!'"

>"You know what he used to do to terrorists?" Trump polled the Tennessee crowd. "A one day trial and shoot him…and the one day trial usually lasted five minutes, right? There was no terrorism then."

>Praises hussein for slaughtering citizens and ignoring due process. Saying no terrorist were in iraq, because the terrorist were in the ruling party. Praises putin for being a strong leader while putin controls his position through fear, murder, and propaganda.

Bad reading comprehension? Don't worry, you'll get better at it. Just keep trying, newfriend!

Its not praising Hussein. He's pointing out Iraq was not a terrorist threat until he took them out.

If your sole goal is less terrorism, then yes. Objectively, undeniably, taking out Saddam was a bad move.

Again, reading comprehension.

Liberals also didn't support the war in Iraq so why even bother caring about how bad Hussein is when thing are worse now. You fucking shits cant have it both ways

There was less terrorism under Saddam's regime because Saddam's regime WAS the terrorists.

Unless you want to challenge the moral equivalency of genocide, torture, chemical weapons, and a brutal police state.

Disregarding the WMD debacle, some basic principles of neocon interventionism had supporters and dissenters from both sides of the aisle. Don't make this overtly partisan where it isn't.

Saddam wasn't the terrorists, America was the terrorists.
Shock and Awe, the millions of children killed by sanctions. The complete destablization of the country after we took power. See, you can do that too.
>>
>complaining about a little gas when america

literally dropped 2 atomic bombs on largely civilians ;
used napalm, agent orange, white phosphorous in vietnam ;
had full out torture in places like abu grahib and guantamo;
funded dictatorships all around the world who did equally brutal things

if you had a ranking saddam wouldn't even break top 20. Stop swallowing the bluepills

Sadam did an objectively better job running Iraq than we have.

the entire state has collapsed and in the vacuum came ISIS.

Sadam didnt have that happen.
>>
>>80654274
Do you think he will gas his enemies?

Let's hope.

Yes, all governments rely on force and intimidation to some degree to keep the peace, so you can call legitimate governments """"""terrorism""""" if you like. That is just a semantics game.

>Unless you want to challenge the moral equivalency

Literally no one is saying Saddam was a good man.

They are saying that he maintained order.
