Yeah I own a ton of property and I've turned some of them into survival retreats. It's kind of a network so I can bug around, depending on the situation. I could hole up at one retreat for a decade at least. It's an old mine that I've renovated. I could make it through the brunt of a full on nuclear war or certain kinds of astronomical events. You can't survive by yourself, though. You need a few families with patriarchs and sons willing to die to protect one another. I want to form some kind of survival group but vetting people is hard.

I'm not a prepper, but since I live in an area prone to bad storms I'm in the habit of keeping two weeks worth of food/water in addition to basic medical supplies, flashlights, batteries, my shortwave radio, ammunition, and fuel for my genny and car.
