Yeah, when that thing wrapped almost everyone probably walked away thinking "this is gonna blow". Happens all the time, but now Hollywood is overboard with NDA clauses.
Wiig looked about as forced to do it as Bill Murray in some of those interviews and her spawn camping photo op is filled with fake smiles. I kind of feel bad for her since she seems to take her career seriously and does not like the end product or the controversy it is causing.
But those two SNL girls are loving it. They are mainstream or Hollywood and want to get their foot in the door for major movie/writing deals. They don't care if it tanks, they want their names out there. I can honestly say I never heard of them before all of this. The only two people I know that watch SNL are my retired parents.

Prior to watching this flick, I was a big fan of Paul Feig his previous work. Feig, a Jew like myself and I are very similar. We both want more female empowerment in the media, and less straight white males roaming this planet.
As a Jew, I can appreciate the message this motion picture is trying to send. More women need to stand up to the oppression and white men need to be humiliated, just like myself, who often goes to white guilt conventions.
My good friend, David Goldstein, first introduced me to the idea a few years back and it's transformed my entire life since.
I had a great time watching this with my wife's son. Hope there will be a sequel!

That movie is a pile of dogshit. Jesus christ. And I say this as someone who knows most of the crew on it and who works on films in NYC.
Will give the guys I know who did the lighting and grip a nod to solid work on their end of their craft, but fuck, was no on there to be like the acting is shitty, sterotypical, and legitimately not funny (except for maybe its cringe value). it tries to replace men with women in male created roles, instead of formulating superior or at least different roles.
all that this movie does is rips off an original concept and tries to create a crude ripoff and counterfeit of the original. that's all.
the movie fails because it is, at the most basic level, a cheap ripoff. it can't even be original enough to be a sequel. it has to be a REMAKE. and this insults the original source material, saying there was something wrong about it, when the original source material was more believable. making this crew of unbelievable characters get together to form an even more unbelievable business of ghost busting is just in insult to the original.
so no one cares. no one ever will. its a flop because the idea is in itself just an insult.
