Blacks are also 5.35 times more likely to be arrested for a violent crime. So they are actually getting shot less than average per crime.
The interesting thing though, is if you just look at unarmed people arrested, then blacks are twice as likely to get shot. I doubt cops are only racist against unarmed people. A possible answer is blacks are more likely to do something like resist arrest.
