Manufacturing is shit anyway. I worked in manufacturing for four years. Work is mindless bullshit, shit was getting more and more automated every year. There was this one area that used to be manned by 6 people, after I quit it was 1 dude watching 3 robots. The pay wasn't anything special, 11 starting on a % increase scale every year. Obama didn't create all these jobs, he split a lot of jobs by turning full time workers into part-time workers. A lot of unemployed people simply gave up and are either counted as employed because they are under-employed, or not counted in the unemployment statistics because they gave up looking for work.
I don't completely blame Obama for this though. Its not like Obama has a list of jobs and he just creates them. Its not the job of politicians to create jobs, its the job of Americans to create jobs. Its the job of politicians to create an environment where jobs can be created.
I do blame part of the jobless rate on the American people, for doing things like not supporting local businesses, buying too many things online, expecting too high standards from employees, paying too little, refusing to train, and hiring only foreign workers instead of their fellow Americans.
