They have to tear down nationalistic unity and sense of community between people first. Once they do that, the target is weakened and divided. At this point it is used as opportunity to invade and build a globalist (communist) government from the ground up.
The end game is NWO. I hate that term "NWO" because it has a conspiracy theorist connotation to it but that's exactly what they're after - a one world government. Just look at African Union, European Union, and North American Caucus and TPP.
What benefit is this? Because then someone that lives on the other side of the planet can exploit you for your labor and resources with zero accountability to the local populace. They will control everything.
