You'd basically have to have multiple, simultaneous beyond LA riot-level insurrections where cities and suburbs are being burned down and thousands are dying. A war that engulfs the nation and brings innocents into the fight forcing them out of their homes and jobs. If only one happens, then that's martial law for one local area.
Is this going to happen? In short, no. Not from this event. The tension is not nearly high enough for a mass martial law event to occur. Could tensions ramp up enough to cause such an event? Highly unlikely. You'd have to have national guard open fire on protestors to have such an event, more than likely. If the government or the system to elect government ever loses legitimacy, then you'll have it.
The election of Donald Trump as president would make more waves than these events so far. The level of discourse and tension that situation causes could have far-reaching effects. Blacks may become completely disenfranchised as they see that government isn't working for them anymore. Those feelings are only re-enforced by the disenfranchisement that they feel because of these events resulting in a recoiling from the traditional politics of America and a return to "tribalism" politics (think with your skin, not with your head) that would be preyed upon by the left telling them to throw a fit when they don't get their way due to how they feel.

Drill this weekend started off first thing with three guys in the locker room talking about how racist our cops and nation have become for killing those innocent black men. It happened a few more times during the day. I tried to rescue as many moderates as possible, but my normally conservative unit has somehow turned liberal.
I am not at all convinced that it has nothing to do with the forced movement to shove as many women and blacks into leadership roles as possible, starting about a year ago. This was planned from a long way out. When they are told to suppress the whites, I doubt they'll even bitch about it.

It was designed by rich business elitists who wanted to establish a republic that allowed them to conduct business the way they wanted to without interference from the English crown. It was never intended to be an absolute democracy. All this bullshit about freedom, liberty, and equality was just rhetoric to get the masses on board with the war. Future government then took the rhetoric to heart and enacted a sort of hybrid democracy by constantly extending the franchise without purging the system of its republic past.
Take for example the second amendment. It is not in place for the people to defend themselves from a tyrannical government. That argument was designed later by people taking the rhetoric to heart. It was originally designed so that the elites wouldn't have to pay for their own army and could raise a militia on the spot to crush dissidents or foreign invasions. In fact George Washington of all people took advantage of the second amendment as president and raised a citizen militia to crush a rebellion of Pennsylvanian whiskey farmers protesting unjust taxes set upon them by a foreign institution.... the exact reasoning Washington used to justify his rebellion 25 years earlier. Citizen militias were again raised in the War of 1812 to fucking invade Canada without the government having to pay for it.
The founding fathers were possibly the greatest statesmen in history. They successfully conned an entire continent for power and money and literally no one realizes it.
