The media will talk all day about foreclosures, bankruptcy, increasing food costs, skyrocketing medical costs, higher prices for education, increased cost of living, stagnate wages, social inequality, etc., yet they get worse and worse at exponential rates each year.
More and more kids are being diagnosed with life long chronic diseases and forced into a system of constant financial burden, leading them into outcome based education in the hopes of securing employment with benefits. By the time they make it out, and see no jobs, and have nothing but debt and devalued degrees, it is easy to see why throwing out the old system seems appealing.

It's something I'm afraid of. Communism is appealing on the face of it, as it's presented. Our parents lived while the Soviet Union existed so they read in the news what real communism was. Now our generation doesn't remember that. They don't care about history, at least not in an objective sense since popular understanding of history is controlled by the left. Were going to go down that path again I'm afraid, but it may be easier since these modern leftists are really weak useless people so when they really try to apply force to the rest of the people I expect they'll fail miserably.

First, it's impossible for technological advances supply the infinite demand of humans, because there will never be infinitely productive technology. Thus, wealth will always be finite.
Second, leadership is necessary because people can't always come together and decide every little thing that will happen in their society in a directly democratic way. You need someone who will decide things for you, representatives. Thus creating leaders.
Thirdly, the burden put on representatives is only fair if they receive more than others, no one wants to take so much responsability without some advantage. Thus creating classes, wealth differences.
So, communist society is impossible, it's against human nature, it's unfair.
If a socialist government could stay uncorrupt, which all practical examples showed to not happen, then I think it could be really successful, though.
