Every single public school that plans a field trip to this ridiculous religious theme park known as the 'Ark Encounter' should have its administration fired for violating the separation of church and state.
>>
What? That doesn't apply to schools just because they are funded by the government.

I think any schoolteacher who can't estimate the the amount of space and storage required for 3 million animals against the space available on an ark should be fired immediately.

"kind" could refer to any level of taxonomy below phylum. Or a division from a different taxonomical system entirely. The ark story would only be remotely feasible at perhaps the Family level assuming the ark itself was not supernatural.

"Seperation of church and state" isn't actually a specific law or statute. It's a conceptual thing.

If you wanted to get rid of the administration you would have to find some other route.

I'm not baiting, and yes show me an ape who gave birth to man you have zero evidence to support evolution ever happened because it's impossible.
1. Creatures cannot transform so it's impossible to evolve that way
2. Creatures cannot give birth to a different species so it's impossible to evolve that
So how do we evolve? We don't, God made us all the way are now. Adam and Eve weren't two apes grunting around running on all fours in the garden of Eden

Existence is "completely arbitrary". God decides anything and everything, and God can want anything and everything God in fact chooses to want. >>
>>80421621
I think the Ark makes sense if you stop thinking about it as a world wide disaster, and more of a local disaster event.

What happened to the children of Cain? They weren't on the ark.

If it was a local event that wiped out a large part of where the bible started, it makes sense that you could fit all species on the boat.

Also Genesis's creation story makes sense if you think that a day for god is not the same as a day for us.
A day is a rotation of the earth, by what measure did god use to decide how long a day was for him before the universe was created?
What is a day to a god?

First came the creation of the universe
Then the seas
Then the land
Then the moon hits the earth (The whole separation of the light of the day and night)
Then fishes
Then land animals and us later in that day.

If we assume that a day for god is how ever fucking long he god damn well wants it to be, fuck you he is immortal, he can take a couple 10000000 year break in his day if he god damn feels like it, then the bible just pretty much hits the order of evolution of our planet pretty spot on, before we knew things about fossils or anything.

We know there wasn't a global flood because there would be geological evidence of it.

However, there easily could have been some sort of terrible flood localized to the middle east 10000 years ago or so, stories of which were carried with travelers to future civilizations all over the world.

There "doesn't seem to be a logic" to basic values either. They just are. Whatever God wants to do is what God wants to do - I don't think there's anything deceptive about making a world however God wants to make it - how other people view what someone else makes has nothing whatsoever to do with the Creator's intent and values in making that something.

I can't recall from the top of my head, but that seems like a figure of the time god sees and not literally 1000 years is a day to god, but rather a day for god is a really fucking long time, hell back then 1000 years is an entirety for people.

Also if you look at how evolution is branched out the days become shorter and shorter in that time sense for god. the time frame of the creation of the cosmos is longer than the time frame of the formation of fish, and that time frame is shorter than the time frame of land based organisms, and that time frame is even shorter for humans on earth.

>>80425426
Exactly, they didn't know exactly what a day was, or really anything, so the bible getting that close to the correct order of how we came to be on this planet is pretty evident, its just the scale of time is off.

7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

As a muslim, I think that's great. I would have loved even to go to a church and listen and learn about Christian faith. They just threw me (along with some Asians, a Jewish kid and a few others) into the 'non-scripture' class, where we just got babysat and played with toys and read books. It was boring as shit though; I used to sneak into the Anglican Church group because the lady would always bring candy for the group.

Then one day I got found out and thrown back into non-scripture :'(

In fact, I think we should go one step further. I think kids of faith should be sent to scripture sessions of other faiths, just to learn and expand their perceptions of God. There was once a time where Jews, Muslims, and Christians were debating and voraciously learning about the other faiths so they could become closer to God within their own
