As for live streams, you have to realize we don't really use satellite time any more. Shit is expensive (a few hundred dollars per 15 minutes). We're really leaning on bonded cellular, as most of the industry is as well. Basically, a bunch of 4G cards in a backpack. It combines their bandwidth and lets us send live, high quality video back to the hub. A few brands out there (Live-U, Dejerro, TVU). ABC Network mainly uses TVU. When there's a bunch of people in the arena using their cell phones, it fucks with our connection. Bonded cellular tries to prevent this by using at least 1 card from each major carrier, but it doesn't always work out so well.
