Fascism is supposed to be a third way between socialism and capitalism, Hitler and nazis thought both were just international jewish elements to rob the people. There were some really free market nazis and some socialist leaning ones, Hitler did not concern himself to much with a single market ideology because he thought economics was just a means to an end. So he let private enterprise exist while making it much more cooperative with the states goals.

yes he was a socialist, but it's not the gibme socialists of today. the worker was valued, the woman who bore children was valued. if you contributed to society he promised a society that contributed to you.

When they say "Hitler was masquerading as a socialist" it seems kind of bullet proof unless I can get the to fix on details. The goal posts can be moved at lot with just that statement.
The Nazi party were moderate social democrats.
They supported commerce and private ownership, but Nazi Germany had things like public health care, public infrastructure initiatives, etc.
In his speeches on economics he derided both capitalists and communists; since jews came in both flavors.
