Why is western media so fixated on barrelbombs? Saw an interview CNN did with Assad where they kept pressuring him on them and he just went "does it matter what bombs we use?" .
And I agree with him. Why are barellbombs worse than, say a missile?
Is it just a narrative they're trying to spin or am I missing something here?

The intent of the channel was to be a sort of hub for Syrian War videos. As you can see there is a lot of information that I pull from channels but the problem is that I can't read Arabic so I am constantly relying on a translator that works about half the time at best.
I was wondering if you joined in could you find good videos in arabic to put on those playlists?
Again, I'm not trying to force you or anything so I won't get offended if you don't want to.

If you are talking about yesterday attack on Dallas, no. I know /pol/ likes their happening threads (they are pretty comfy, I know), but this is too little to spiral into civil war.
Honestly, at this point, I don't know what would it take to spiral the USA into civil war, but yesterday events are obviously not enough. I know this sounds kinda sappy, but America showed too much "unity" in the face of the attacks, for there to be a civil war.
If some major political group, with a lot of popular support, justified those attacks and called for more, then you would have your civil war.

If those factions find widespread support among some sectors of the population, and these people are willing to openly confront the state, then you'll have a civil war in your hands.
Remember, for there to be a civil war, there needs to be a complete and total rejection of the state and their mechanism of conflict resolve (i.e: traditional politics). So far the US is, for better or for worse, very resilient to that kind of problem.

A campaing to kill cops is not tantamount to civil war, it is insurrection, maybe, but nothing that cannot be solved with traditional state response: reinforcement of security measures and services.
On the other hands, if those groups start advocating for an ideology of black nationalism, that the only solution for blacks is to have "a state of their own", in other words, if they advocate for the overthrowing of the US government (either in toto, or in one place), AND they have a support base willing to go to arms over that idea, that's your civil war.
