Hey /pol/, you may have seen me around before, but I'm back with a chosen itinerary.

Manchester (starting point), Leeds, York, Dunham, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Hadrian's wall, Carlilse, Liverpool.

Am I missing anything? Is there a city here worth taking off? Are any of these cities overwhelmingly infested with shitskins (outside of manchester)? I'm working with 4 days and around 700 to blow.
>>
>>80254956

Leeds is 50% Pakis
Newcastle is just a shithole
Liverpool is full of niggers.

York is great, and Edinburgh.

Are you not willing to travel south?
>>
>>80254956
Leeds is full of muds, Liverpool is full of Irish whites who may as well be nigs, Newcastle is degeneracy central, and Edinburgh is full of snobby champagne socialists who may as well be English. All good places to visit regardless, especially if you're looking for nightlife, but don't expect the kinds of places you'd want to settle down and live. And give Blackpool a look while you're in Liverpool, it makes for a great night out if you just want to get drunk and let loose.

>>
>>80255341

Come on son, most nigs in Liverpool are mixed. There's more of a problem with Chinese than blacks.
>>
>>80255341
I might be if there's something really worth seeing there. It's just out of the way since I'm starting in Manchester. With the trains, I suppose it's not so bad if I can get the proper route. I'll be spending two days in London regardless on a separate excursion.

What would you recommend in lieu of the other stuff I mentioned (barring the cumbria, which I feel is a must).

>>80255418
I'm in it more for the historical elements. I want to explore traditional Britain and mingle with the locals.

I think I'll skip Newcastle and Leeds. Liverpool seems kind of interesting in terms of what they offer architecturally.
>>
when you coming to Edinburgh OP? I can show you around

Plymouth is absolutely crap. Do not go there.

If it's traditional you want, I'd avoid cities altogether. Wiltshire has some great sites if you do decide to venture south, give Avebury Henge a look. Stonehenge is overrated - always swarming with hippies, and there's a big fuck-off fence around the stones so you can't get a decent look. Avebury is built around a village and you can walk right up to the stones.
>>
>>80254956
come to here for a day or two, the boat is about £30 return from liverpool and there is some beautiful scenery, and you can ride around the TT course if you're into motorbikes
>>
>>80257518
Cotswolds is too inaccessible for me, since train.

And no Carlisle or Hadrians? Any reason for that?

St ives deadham and carna I'm not familiar with. Quick summary?

>>80257629
Thanks anon. I'd never visit the stonehenge anyway, obvious tourist trap.

Problem with smaller cities tho is, as mentioned previously, since I'm doing things by train it's not so easy. I want traditional architecture with mostly white populations, a la edinburgh, york. The people themselves although white, are defacto going to be pozzed, which I'm prepared for.
>>
>>80258017
York is great, and has some of the best beers the country has to offer. York Brewery is great, and find yourself a pub serving Old Mill Brewery ales. The OM brewery is just down the road from me and their ales are fantastic.

>Cotswolds
It's one of the most beautiful areas in the world. The buildings remind you of Victorian times.
>Dedham Vale
Super easy by train. Quintessential England and peaceful summer destination. Paddle-boarding is a good way to see the land that John Constable, the most beloved English painter, depicted in his work.
>St. Ives
Take this as one of the prime examples of a West Coast town. It's in the land where pirates come from, so they speak funny, but their seafronts are the envy of all other coastal destinations.
>Caernarfon
This is in Wales. The Welsh countryside is great if you like valleys, green, and twisting paths dating back to ancient times. It also has a castle by the sea that's straight out of Game of Thrones.

As for the NOTs:
>Carlisle
It's nothing special. Though it may be a nice town it is a bit dead for tourists with a packed schedule. There are towns in Britain that can blow you away, don't waste time on the 'nice' ones.
>Hadrian's Wall
It's just a fucking wall. Who cares? If you want Roman history, head to Colchester, the Roman capital of Britannia, or London, the capital after Colchester got BTFO.

Also consider, now I remember:
>Bath
Fantastic town with epic scenery. Every house is built in a consistent design making the town look like a Ctrl + V done right.
>Whitby Abbey
Epic scenery of a burned-down abbey overlooking a quaint Yorkshire town by the sea. Inspired Dracula and featured in a Simply Red video.
>>
>>80260314
Thanks for the low-down.

I really really want to do Cotswolds, but I've been told to just not bother unless you're by car.

Any of the cities going from Cotswolds up north to York worth any time in? Some of those other places sounds nice, but, after all, I only have four days (plus I want to spend a day/night in Edi).

Bath I want to visit but again I feel is just way too far out.
>>
>>80260736
By car? Not really.

You're best off going East to Yorkshire (from Manchester) and seeing Leeds, York, Whitby Abbey, up to Durham and Edinburgh and then down to Machester again to fly back (presumably).

You'll see a lot of good shit in four days if you don't dwindle in the smaller areas and sleep in the bigger ones. Use that Europass if you got it as much as humanly possible.
>>
>>80261663
That was more or less the plan, plus a stop in the lakes region.

But all your recommendations from >>80260314
are off that path (obv).
>>
DAVID BALABON IS A NIGGER FAGGOT
>>
North Leeds is good, so is the centre. You wouldn't really go to the rest of it as a tourist, the west is boring and the South and East are basically like your average commieblock place.

More Chinese than Muslims in Leeds desu and the only white large city in England.
>>
>>80262104

Balabon thread.

Post your rare balabons.
>>
>>80254956
Do not visit Carlilse, you idiot.
>>
>>80261663
Between Leeds and York you should go to Harrogate. Thirsk, Northallerton, etc etc all worth seeing.

When you're in Leeds go to a pub called The Angel. It's on the main shopping street down a side alley. It's got some of the cheapest and best beer in the city centre. Unfortunately a lot of students have started going recently but since the summer holidays are on they'll have fucked off back to the south.
>>
>>80260736
Definitely do York and get a one day museum pass. Take a train onto the moors. You can get from York to Durham easily. DON'T do Leeds, its a waste of time and nothing to see.
>>
>>80254956
Why are you missing out all of the Lake District? It's literally just below Hadrians Wall and it's beautiful for hiking and just chilling in the countryside. There's a few asian tourists there but other than that it's pretty much entirely white.
>>
>>80262509
What have you got against Leeds?

It might be student central but in summer they all go home to Guildford. Headingley in the summer is sublime. Royal Armouries, too.
>>
>>80262374
Ye I got that now. Any one-stop Cumbria alternatives?

>>80262392
Haven't heard of those other cities. What's there?

>>80262509
Aren't the museums free?

>don't do leeds
This seems to be a common sentiment so I'm very much considering x'ing it.
>>
>>80262673
They aren't cities, they're towns and villages, but they occupy probably the best stretch of land in Northern England.

Really, there's nothing wrong with Leeds. It's got its problems but it's a far better place than Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield etc.
>>
>>80262622
I thought I was covering it with Carlise, apparently not.

Idk how else to navigate that place. Any other major train hubs or towns around there? It just seems really inaccessible for someone with as little time as I.
>>
>>80261931
Didn't realize you had so little time.

If you go North and East, those are the best places I know of.
>>
>>80262673
No, not free. Pretty expensive desu especially if you want to do the minster etc. York has excellent rail connections.
>>
>>80262859
If I'm traveling by train, constantly stopping like that seems problematic.

And better than Edinburgh? I've definitely yet to hear that.

>>80262918
Alright anon, thank you. That was the goal. I have more time, but the other week or so I'm there is going to be spent in some village inbetween manchester and liverpool, and two days in London.

>>80263073
>not free
Eh, I'll probably pass then. Unless there's one you can really recommend.
>>
>>80263203
>I've definitely yet to hear that.

Edinburgh isn't a bad place but to be perfectly honest I never saw the hype. The nightlife is woeful, it's full of SJWs (real, actual ones) and if you want to see Scotland stick to the countryside. I lived there for six months and whilst it was alright, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for a holiday.

Leeds has a bad reputation in England because of its football team and the fact that it's probably the last large city in the country where the people are proud of where they're from, but aside from that it's decent.
>>
manchester is really mixed in the city i dont like worming through the crowds either however the musesums are awesome and the nightlife is arguably the one of the best in the UK especially music wise. You should look up the best bars and pubs if you dont care for nightclubs and if you head east to York stop at the pubs on the ale trail for traditional historically rich pubs with native top notch ales.
>>
>>80264644
Any specific York pubs you could recommend?

And yeah, not interested in the decadent/diverse "nightlife" experience.
>>
>>80263567
Any villages or whatever to visit in particular? I will still visit Edinburgh, but maybe I'll see some other stuff as well.
>>
>>80264844

>>
>>80270565
well yeah, blackpool is shitty, but st annes is a few miles away and is much less chavvy and more relaxed

wierd how you want culture, but you don't like history or art

there is a science museum in manchester, although it will be pretty busy as schools are out for the next 8 weeks. some cool planes and stuff, models of the first electronic computer(invented in manchester) I dunno, probably sme other shit like some trains

a few art galleries, but mostly pncy useless modern art shit, and ancient chinese stuff(for some reason)

leeds has a train museum which was pretty cool when I visited years ago

durham has an ancient cathedral which is quite impressive

but if I was you, I'd just go straight to york and stay there for 4 days
>>
>>80271134
Yeah I'll probably do it just coz it's on the way to York

On another note:
Correct me if I'm wrong, but are trains uber expensive there, and do they number of stops dictate the price (as in, it costs way more to stop through multiple cities on the way from manchester to york than just the straight trip)? Is there any way to save? Are hostels filled with nonwhites?

I am well versed in history by virtue of my affinity with paradox grand strategy titles, having done a l of my own research from there, having watched shows/movies akin to the Tudors, etc. That being said, I find that historical remnants in person are a lot more mundane than being able to take part in (virtually), or fantasizing yourself. There's a sort of mysticism to how you picture things that gets crushed when you actually see the sterile and stagnant remains of better (insofar as it/they/whatever was functioning then) times

Art just has never been my cup of tea. I'm only 19 though, maybe I'm just uncultured in that sense.

Durham's cathedral is what I'm most excited for. Idk what I'm going to see in Leeds.

Not enough to do in York for any more than a day.

You do realize that that's right next to Bradistan, right? UK's Paki central? It's a shithole, don't ever go there.

Edinburgh is amazing tho.

If you have the time and inclination, go to the Hebrides and bum around the Isles for a bit, you won't regret it. See if you can find your way into some distilleries, there's a cool one on Skye which only uses peat to roast its barley.

If you have neither the time or the inclination, head to Stirling instead, it's very nice, has some cool history and historical stuff to go see.

That's cause Scotland's really goddamn nice, just look up pics of Stirling and the Scottish isles (especially the machair that grows in the summertime), Clachtoll, crofts etc. It's very similar to the English countryside except with more hills, crags and mountains as you head into the highlands.

Seriously tho, the isles are extremely nice. Look up pics of the Isle of Skye, Lewis and Harris, and the Orkneys. They all have an extremely interesting history and are absolutely gorgeous this time of year. Granted, they're more for an outdoorsman than someone who just wants to take pictures of cathedrals, but still the nature is amazing.

Pic related is Lewis and Harris.
>>
>>80274562

>>80274924
I feel like I can get this experience when I go to Ireland one of these days, which seems to be a common sentiment among people who've actually been to both (in that they prefer Ireland over Scotland).

From what I've heard, even Wales is more interesting than Scotland. Plus, it's too out of the way if I want to see stuff in England. Edinburgh works out well because it's southern Scotland.
