I visited both.
Slovakia is pretty much a skiing resort for Poles. Comparable prices to Polish side of tatras, but the slopes are better and more varied. You also don't have to deal with dumb greedy Polish gorals which is always a plus.
Slovenia is relatively unknown out there, but I loved my stay here. Lots of mountains and forests + relatively sparsely populated lands gave me this cramped yet comfy kind of feeling that's difficult to encounter in Poland, which consists mostly of completely flat, open fields as far as eye can see. Lake Bled is definitely not a meme, it's as beautiful as advertised and the ice cream sold on the small island in the middle of the lake was delicious. As a geography autist I also loved the solutional caves next to Lubljana.
History is the biggest meme ever desu, I'd trade all of ours if it meant I got to be born in peaceful beautiful little country like Slovakia or Slovenia.

Slovenia is really nice to live if you have a job - which is a problem to get. You can go hiking in the alps or to the sea in a couple of hours no matter from where you live.
There is also a lot of awesome castles or ruins that are still not a tourist attraction and nobody outside Slovenia knows about it (but this is changing fast).
