I dedicate this thread to the glory and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All people are welcome here to discuss faith and the gospel among themselves, and the role the teachings of Jesus Christ can play to help shift western culture back towards sustainable values.

This is not a thread to debate atheists, or argue the heresy/legitimacy of various Christian churches.

This IS a place to answer questions from open and curious anons who see Christianity as a well worn path out of degeneracy. God loves you (Yes, you.) and wishes success and exaltation on all of his children.

/pol/ is a powerful place with strong cultural influence, but also a place full of Judgement. I urge /pol/ users who consider themselves Christian to consider Jesus teachings on judging others before shitposting. Through Christian morals and values, everything /pol/ stands for and wishes for the world can be achieved. By coming together and making these threads regularly we can shift the negativity of this place and truly turn it into the "path of light."

I just wanted to say thanks to all the Christbros keeping these generals active. But the glory goes to Christ Almighty. Just a couple of things I wanted to confess/ask.

- How do Christians feel about the ongoing migrant rapes/coverups in Sweden? Will it be exposed?

- I'm having a tough time with porn. Particularly, I keep browsing naturism/nudism blogs. There are even ((Christians)) who apparently justify it biblically. Is it heresy?

- When will God punish evil and avenge the hurt?

And yeah, prayers for Philando. Idk how he was spiritually but hopefully he waa right with God.

Christians (especially catholics) are touchy on the migrant crisis. On one hand, its our obligation to help the needy in the name of god, on the other hand, muslims especially the refugees are a very stubborn people who will not assimilate, let alone convert.

Depends on who you talk to. In my book, as long as any sexual acts don't involve actually doing it with someone else, its fine.

Yes, but the evil already willingly walk away from god, so it will be more like a "alright you can go now."

See, here is where most people including most (nominal) Christians just got immersed in the whole social liberal leftist extreme that minorities shouldn't be held accountable/ that they have no agency/ that it's all da whyte mans fault

I myself believe in equal condemnation and exposure for equal crimes. They have no excuse just because they're migrants

I don't have a lot to contribute to this thread and am not a "good" Christian in any traditional sense. I ignore God sometimes, but I know He is present in my life. I sin my balls off pretty often, but I also try to let mercy and kindness into my heart too. Sometimes I try hard to do the right thing, sometimes I justify doing the wrong thing to myself. But God is real and He is love. Please keep these threads alive anon, it feels good knowing you're out there. Go with Christ.

What's you're guys favorite bible verse

Here's mine

Blessed is the one
who does not walk in step with the wicked
or stand in the way that sinners take
or sit in the company of mockers,
but whose delight is in the law of the Lord,
and who meditates on his law day and night.
That person is like a tree planted by streams of water,
which yields its fruit in season
and whose leaf does not wither—
whatever they do prospers.
Not so the wicked!
They are like chaff
that the wind blows away.
Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment,
nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.

Of course, but scandinavians have been here for what, thousands of years? Sami were here before technically but are recluses in the far north.

Not sure on what you mean by level. Paganism is dead and is never coming back since what we have is a poor reconstruction with a lot of holes in the knowledge we have about it. We do know a lot about their morality as told in the Håvamål though, where strength, courage, honor, independence was stressed. It's why they loved duels so much, because it was public and so in everyone's knowledge. Murder was a major taboo, not that it wasn't anywhere else, but because it was nonpublic and therefore hidden, cowardly and illegal, not because killing in itself was wrong. If satisfaction of honor was demanded and you didn't meet up you were a nithing which could make you ostracized. Basically the gods were just supposed to be a reflection of what is desired in norse culture.

There's probably a lot more, but åsatru isn't that much alike to the spirituality of native americans where they believed animals and other living things had spirits, though there are some similarities, like ancestor veneration. I don't know I could be talking out of my ass here

But then again, the >secularism meme

Reposting from /his/:
Pic related (I couldn't find a good picture) is one from the Middle Ages that shows the "teaching of the two swords". It's a philosophical idea which states that Christ handed two swords to the worlds leaders, a temporal sword to kings and emperors and a spiritual sword to popes and bishops. The idea behind this (though factually some friction always remained) was that kings and emperors had supremacy over worldly affairs while popes and bishops had supremacy over religious affairs, and neither could wield any power over the other's fields.

The distinction between divine and profane, spiritual and temporal, even appears in the Pauline epistles. Or what about the actions of Jesus, who according to New Testament canon never held a political office and told his followers to render unto Caesar what is Caesars? The Enlightenment did not split church and state as much as Christian doctrine separating Church and State allowed the Enlightenment to happen. It's very popular to say that Islam needs an Enlightenment, but that's literally impossible due to the very nature of Islam. It cannot be disconnected from the political reality without being discarded wholesale.

And then there's also the fact that Christianity never (at least canonically) had a superiority complex. The New Testament constantly states that none are without sin and that we are saved by grace, not by our own deeds. Even the "gospel in a nutshell" (John 3:16) emphasizes God's love for humanity as a whole (compare Islam that constantly states Allah does not love the unbelievers).

It's a fundamental difference between the religions. The cultures did not shape the religions, but the religions shaped the cultures. As long as Islam exists, it cannot go forward. It can only go backwards.

>Christian doctrine separating Church and State allowed the Enlightenment to happen

The thing that separated Church and State (AGAINST the wishes of the Church, who was at war with the faction that was trying to bring about this change), in Europe, was called the French Revolution

The terms "Left and Right-wing" came about in those days. And the Right wing (which was threatened by the revolutionary left) was the Clergy (whom was perceived to have too may privileges in taxation and land ownership) and Noblemen

> It's very popular to say that Islam needs an Enlightenment, but that's literally impossible due to the very nature of Islam. It cannot be disconnected from the political reality without being discarded wholesale.

See "The Arabian Peninsula before the Mongol, trauma-inducing invasions"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_Golden_Age

>It cannot be disconnected from the political reality without being discarded wholesale.

It could be disconnected if the Arabs et al. had any intention to disconnect it. The problem is we've been forcing them to do something they'd have to seek and initiate themselves

>The cultures did not shape the religions, but the religions shaped the cultures.

Kind of both though. You trying to sound meaningful doesn't add anything to the picture

I don't think they are less than me. If you establish criteria for righteousness from the bible, then you can measure how righteous someone is from a Christian perspective. Then you could objectively state whether someone is more or less righteous. That doesn't make anyone better or less though.
>>
>>80136155
so what's your point
>>
>>80136410
Point being is why would God require blind faith above any other measure? Why would he give us the capacity to discern facts from fiction and weigh evidence to form conclusions if he didn't want us to use it? And if he did want us to, why is their a resounding lack of evidence to support the Christian account of history and beliefs? Thanks
>>
>>80137172

>why would God require blind faith above any other measure?

Because no matter how much knowledge He would give you to examine, you can always find excuses to completely distrust it
>>
>>80136155
The point is only God is perfect, we can never achieve that on this earth. He sent his Son to die for us, and rent that Holy of Holies curtain from top to bottom, showing that he abolished animal blood to cover up our sins for a small time, and shed His own perfect (was fully human and fully God at the same time) blood to cover everyones sins for all time. That doesn't discount that we have to come to Him and accept him as our savior knowing that only He can do that. That he died, was buried and rose again.

That being said, it doesn't change the fact we are still sinful humans. While he paid the price it doesn't stop us from giving into sin (again we are imperfect). Usually the getting saved part changes who you are as a person. Those who say they accept Christ but never truly change anything, maybe you have to question their truthfulness there. Some get saved and live for Christ hardcore, but fall away into sin (and He will always forgive) ... but either way a person being saved is their personal thing. Nothing can take salvation away, but those that are truly saved aren't usually going around killing people or being degenerates lol. Exceptions to every rule though. All of that still doesn't change the fact only through the faith in the perfect blood of Jesus Christ can anyone be saved and be with Him in heaven.

>- When will God punish evil and avenge the hurt?
Every man will be judged according to his works upon death. Any salvation will be as though by fire.
>>
>>80137547
That's not true at all. One should weigh all the evidence and accept the best hypothesis/conclusion or identify the most likely conclusions, while rejecting ones proven false. As such, there would be no legitimate reason to reject the Christian version of God if God presented the evidence adequately.

The virtuous pagans could definitely have received the Kingdom of God according to the early church fathers, and invincible ignorance is a doctrine of the Church. It's plausible, but not guaranteed. Better to share the gospel to better their odds.

Hello sir, I have a true question here
Is there any proof of Abraham's existence?
I'm a Christian btw but I saw in a video that there are no proofs for his existence, as well as Solomon and some others, in the video they said (probably kind of ironic/comic) "you just got to have faith.
>>
>>80138672
Which is reasonable, but there is no evidence I'm aware of legitimizing those. If so, I'd be happy to examine. What evidence exists today that legitimizes the Christian version of the world besides blind faith
>>
>>80139080
I would be incredibly fucking surprised if they found archaeological evidence of a single man that far back. Patterns of Evidence offers some evidence for Joseph (with the coat) having existed though, and he's a descendant of Abraham.
>>
>>80138954
Itbecomes more likely to be true relative to alternative perspectives, yes. Assuming, of course, that evidence for alternates remain the same
>>
>>80138405
It's not a blind faith, but for some it comes easy for others it's definitely difficult. Best thing I can say is read the Bible (New Living Translation is nice cause it reads real plain and not old style) maybe look up the Romans Road on google and follow those verses. Galations and Ephesians are good too. New Testament is just good in general lol.

This God, is a God that was, is and is to come. He is literally outside of time. No way to comprehend that, yet the Bible though taken down by man is the inspired Word FROM God. He gave it to these men to write down so we could all benefit. (I mention New Living since I have read that it's pretty close to original text). I just love that to my knowledge, the only religion whose God made himself human ... literally became his own creation and walked among us ... is Christianity. Jews may be His chosen peeps, but he still included all in his plan for saving us. Also they recorded seeing and touching Jesus, and hearing God's voice speaking about Jesus. No other text in any other religion speaks of that (again to my knowledge). He's something special for sure.

The Bible has some shockingly coincidences with what's happening today right? I mean, interpretation can be either good or bad but that's it, it's not an exactly clear word, after all why would we need to have faith if everything can be proven?

Christianity is basically a how to on how to keep society from completely imploding in on itself. There's proof of Solomon's Temple as far as I know, proof of Pergamum (spoken of in Revelation -and some VERY interesting stuff on that). As for proof of people? I doubt there's a definitive way to know even from bones as I don't know how they would determine that kinda dna. Though, if you're Christian and believe the Bible is true, dealing with the genealogies and such I guess you'd just take it as truth. I believe it cause everything in the Bible really tends to correspond with other historical accounts. Daniel predicts Alexander the Great doesn't he? I had some good youtube ones but for the life of me I can't find my links anymore. I had mentioned Pergamum in an earlier post and I had found a two part vid on that and it was absolutely amazing. I can't find that but I did find this

Ive never even heard of Sola Scriptura before tonight. I'm a Christian ... I'm saved byt hte blood of the Lamb, no label other than that. So this stuff you're showing me honestly means nothing, as for me God is the end all be all. And that has nothing to do with tradition to me ... the only tradition is going to church to fellowship with other believers and that's just that. Fellowship with believers and worshiping God together that day, but still talking to Him and stuff throughout the week. And that probably makes no sense to what you asked, but again I'm just not really getting the terminology you're throwing my way.

I'm not familiar with any Catholic or Protestant or Methodist or etc stuff at all. Literally no denomination here just a born again Christian loving the fact this usually dark hole of the internet is, in fact, filled with some very sweet people <3

Daily reminder Catholic != Christian

If you are a orthodox or catholic you are wasting your time, thats like joining Islam

Romans 10:2-4
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. 3For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. 4For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Believing is all thats required

You have to believe that Jesus died for your sins .. catholics are trying to save themselves and think god is going to pat them on the head for doing good deeds

"good deeds" are an abomination to god

Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

If you are B, then God OWNS YOU regardless of anything, follow the 1st command if you want to live (you're free to not also)
Difficult to understand? This is:
Does God have a religion? The answer is no, but God does have a book that highlight his doings and laws. If one does follow the 1st Command everything else needed will come as natural, I see in you hatred. Do you really believe in God or something that others say? (Even if they're "right", who truly is right is God so if you love him from all of your heart, from all of your will, from all of your soul and being, everything else is natural as his wants.) That comes with reading and time. Usually you can tell if things are metaphoric for sure if things are describes as "like" something of course. Like in Revelation, there is a lot of descriptive stuff. His eyes were LIKE flames of fire, feet LIKE bronze .. things like that. Seriously it just takes time of reading and letting Him just talk to you through it. When you have questions theres always google (I like to compare what I think with what scholars come up with). I'm not well versed by any means, but I'm learning :) What I get out of a verse is not what my mom gets out of it. We talk about it all th time. He speaks to everyone in different ways.

I just realized that you guys don't include the Welsh flag.

Also, why doesn't Wales get with the program and make their flag the Cross of their saint, St. David? I think the flag of Saint David is super cool.

Also if free will is a myth are you bound to die alredy? (Not implying anything, just saying that if are wrong you will be wrong no matter what you think) Or you are against the idea of a false free will? That wouldn't make sense, it would be an extreme contradiction.

of course god wants us to walk in the spirit and live a fruitful life

thats why he advocates it all the time

but its not talking about whether you go to hell or not in all of these quotes

John 10:28–29
28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of tthe Father’s hand.

Ephesians 4:30
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

I always thought imposing the dragon on top or in one quadrant would be nice. There's also this.

It won a poll or something back in 07 when teh show was running.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but I think I need guidance on something. It's about what would make the the happiest. The textbook answer would obviously be meeting Christ in heaven. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait for that, but there's something even greater. At the risk of sounding 200% edgy, I think I'd be happiest to watch the world end. Literally, the thought of nuclear war excited me in a way like nothing else does. I don't quite know what my question is, but I felt like I had to get that off my chest.
