How do Germans feel about their Nazi history? Honest question.
I"m American as fuck but like 75% German, and people obviously sometimes make Nazi jokes when I bring up German heritage.
So I was wondering, how does Germany right now look at their Nazi history? Is it never brought up and ignored, or is it taught and said how bad it was, or what is the vibe exactly in Germany of their past? It's weird because it wasn't long ago at all, but the country obviously has none of that left really inside of it, so I'm wondering what it's like.

It's brought up more than enough in the media because it is an important part of german history. It is taught in schools like everything is taught in history class: with sources and by analyzing them. It not that difficult to see that it was "bad".
