Can I get /pol/'s opinions and feelings towards todays teenagers/young adults?

>What do you like about this generation
>what do you dislike about this generation
>is their work effort that different from pervious generations when they were young
>what are some plans or wishes you'd like for this generation as they get older
>overall, how do you feel about young people today

Thanks in advance.

They are all self-entitled fags rasied by single mothers handing out participation trophies.

They will go down as the worst American generation ever, if they don't burn the place down.
>>
Most of their flaws are caused by very thorough brainwashing at school college and university.

Gen x here

I believe that millennials are the first decent post-greatest generation, certainly the first that I can relate to. It's because they seem to have an interest in finding truth and make proper use of their resources so they are far less gullible than older gens.

A nightmare for dehumanizing employers, social engineers, feminazis, identity politicians - the end of mass media lie machine and false flags - the final destruction of all aspects of degenerate boomer influence. I can't fucking wait!

I love millennials!

1990 here

i think i'm still on the edge of the last generation, seeing as almost everyone born past 95-96 is an utter superficial pleb

I personally blame technology, media and jews. My 9 year old nephew sits on his ipad literally all fucking day. My 10 year old niece has a fucking galaxy S7 edge. All of my fucking why. I grew up playing with actual toys. You know, lego, power rangers, electric car track, ... I used to go out and play with the neighbor kids, shoot the shit, whatever.

Nowadays they are all so fucking fixated on their phones. Interpersonal relationships get fucked up, thank god for schools! Without those most children now would suffer a severe disability in reading social cues.

Social media turns everyone who grows up with this shit into attention seeking morons who can't wait to share that nice cool cocktail they are drinking on the beach in Ibiza. No one cares faggot, when i go on vacation i take pictures to remember things for myself.

Add to that the kike propaganda that's being spewed in their faces all day and we got ourselves a nice party. And what do millenials do? They use technology and social media to create little bubbles for themselves where they feel safe and don't have to listen to other opinions. Once again playing into the hand of the ones pushing the propaganda. This turns them into entitled fucktards.

I seriously have little hope for the future. These people will have to start businesses, sit in our government and provide jobs. Most of them can't even manage to work somewhere for longer than a year, before skipping to another job.
>>
>>79994638
We're probably going to go through major problems because of them.

Most don't want to reproduce, most have extremely socialist views. In other words, we're fucked.

But nevermind that, I need to snapchat.
>>
It's an odd one, they have narcissistic tendencies as in narcissists not only have a high opinion of themselves, but have an obsessive need for other people to affirm this superiority, As a result they engage in attention-seeking behavior, using things like instagram, tinder, facebook, twitter. This explains the formation of SJW's and the Alt-Right and why millennials are drawn to that attention-seeking feed back loop, through virtue and status signalling on each side. It doesn't matter if your right or wrong, or even if you know what your talking about, what matters is your getting attention.

They also exhibit this weird solipsism. For example, usually a narcissist understands that other people have needs, wants, desires etc, they just don't care, they think their own are much more important, but they can still put food on the table. Millennials it seems, have this sort of solipsism, as in they cant even comprehend that other people have thoughts or feelings, so once someone deviates from their own beliefs, regardless of how much else might be agreed upon, is ostracized, bullied, etc (this happens on both sides).

The oddest thing I find about millennials is how they are tied to no music counter culture. Gen X had Grunge. Baby Boomers had the rock n roll, Greatest generation had Buddy Holly etc, all big shifts in the zeitgeist. Millennials have no band or artist that defines them, nothing to remember them by in history. My theory is they are too self-centered for music, music movements being a sort of shared experience (Ignoring shit like rap and shit pop music, radio friendly unit shifters always existed). Instead they turn to things like their gender, sexual orientation, hair color, hoping naively that the mark they leave on the world is themselves and not something they, as a generation, contributed too.

Thanks for reading my autism.

I know there is a lot of plebians floating about in my generatiom but there is a lot of good, a lot of reason and a lot of logic.
Why are you all suprised that we grew up to be so terriblw though?
We're the first generation with mainstream access to the internet, which changes everything,
Weve spent our whole lives growing up hearing about problems with the economy, terrorism, the environment and debt,
Being fed a pack of lies at every direction by the older generations.

Literally everything else. Lack of culture, lack of respect, lack of caring, complete ignorance for politics and the world around us. General degeneracy.

>Is work effort different
Yes but I think this is true for almost all generations. There are still good kids out there. I consider myself one of them. Even when I was in high school, we all had summer jobs and some (including me) had jobs during school. I went to a private Catholic school, and also it was only the white kids who were working jobs

>plans for the future as they get older
I don't even know. This generation stuck on perpetual childishness. No one can cook, clean, pay their bills, run a house. I hope they wake up eventually.

>Overall how do you feel
I guess you could tell. I really dislike it. Kind of verging on hate, but I don't want to be one of those "I was born in the wrong generation" people because I know how much they are hated. The music sucks. The girls (most of them, they are still good ones) suck. Our employer all think we are retards because this generation can't seem to grow up. Everyone is obsessed with social media. Almost everyone is a sheep led by political figures that they don't even have a reason to like. It's sad

You have to remember, the Internet makes a lot more of this crap visible. Gen Y has a lot of degeneracy, but we see much more of it thanks to smartphones and shitty social media. If that crap were around during the time of gen X and the boomers, we would have seen a lot of sick shit from them too (especially boomers).
The last generation that was actually good overall was the Greatest Generation.

'94 so I'm in the heart of it

I think we need a good panic or a real recession to fuck us up something right. I'm counting the moments until that can actually happen. The student loan bubble is bound to burst soon and then we'll test our mettle.

The Second Great Depression will change everything. We'll see if the generation can actually save or if all the wasteful spending is real. I'll find work doing manual labor somewhere feeling comfortable about my conditions. Maybe there will be a bunch of new government agencies made to put them to work that I can be involved with as well.

Technology is weakening humanity on an individual level. It's pulling us into the Matrix one step at a time.
>>
>>79994638
'96 but because of my parents, I'm more friends with old people, so though I'm part of the generation, I can compare my generation to those of the older ones.
Also one of the reasons why I'm not left-leaning.

The main thing this generation needs is a catastrophe to bring them back up into humanity. This generation has been brought up through pampering and a bubble that prevented the real world into bringing them up properly. Now there is a generation of people that is completely dependent on the system to not only protect them, but to give them free things-- the drive to succeed through hard work has been erased.

To bring this generation out of this moral rut, a catastrophe of global proportions is necessary in order to weed out the degenerates, so that humanity can again progress into even greater heights.

Born in 1989. Turned 27 this year.

>What do you like about this generation
Nothing. Worst fucking people, and this isn't new. I hated them when I was 16. Shit, when I was 10, I would look at the kindergarteners and younger coming out, and something was just wrong.

By the time I was 20 I knew they were destined for chaos and failure. This past 7 years has been nothing but a downard spiral in every facet of life.
>what do you dislike about this generation
See above. They have no reference point to the old world. They have SEVERE disrespect for elders, of insane levels not seen before. Ungrateful, entitled, awful shits. When they come of age, they'll be like Boomers on ACID. They CAN NOT be allowed into positions of power in the future.
>is their work effort that different from pervious generations when they were young
Yes. They have grown up entirely on the internet. They know nothing but their stupid voice and internal machinations of grandure.
>what are some plans or wishes you'd like for this generation as they get older
Get off the internet and kill yourselves or seek the old knowledge. Denounce your peers.

Boomers enjoyed what was literally the most prosperous time in all of the west's history. You don't want to be content. Ever. Contentedness leads to laziness. The bad part about tards dropping thousands and thousands of dollars on new phones / new other things because they're new is that most are content with this being the sum of achievement of their lives.

Social media is cancer. Most forms of the Internet that people consume are literal mind poison. Humans function far better without ever seeing a computer screen than allowing their technology addiction to run unchecked.

>>
>>80011997
Honestly I think there's much more of a dichotomy when it comes to millennials. Some work themselves to the bone, while others don't lift a finger. There's very little middle ground, unlike previous generations...
>>
>>80011948

The original dates were written in 1997 thats why they arent fully defined.

all generations are roughly 20 years give or take. Usually defined after the fact from major events that occur and shape the way that generation views itself and the world.

Thats why some people now say millennials are defined as those old enough to remember 9/11

but I digress 17-22 doesn't really matter generations are only useful for Macro observations.

>>80012178

Yeah cause somone born in 1943 has a lot in common with somone born in 1960?

Or hou about 1901 vs 1920?

one would be working in a munitions factory the other would be the front line.

generations, are only good for macro observations. If you try to define one or even a group of peoples behaviors on it it falls apart.

Even the millennials are starting to realize they are the worst generation in history.

>Millennials are the worst. I should know — I am one.

At 26, I’m stuck in the middle of the world’s most maligned, mocked and discussed age group. And I hate it. Imagine being forever lumped into a smug pack of narcissists who don’t just ignore the past, but openly abhor anyone and everything that came before them.
>“My boomer co-workers get paid more and they have no clue what Reddit is!” drones the millennial victim as the tiny violin plays. Meanwhile, baby boomers gave us, um, computers, and our major contributions to society are emojis and TV recaps.

>Born in the 80's, raised in the 90's here

>Overall, they're not bad workers
>They are CONSTANTLY distracted by phones/games/etc

That's just the ones I work with who maintain their jobs...

Here are the ones I've interviewed (over 100/yr):
>Generally lazy
>Glued to their phones
>"I don't want to work more than 30hrs/wk because it interferes with ________"
>"I want $70k/yr to start"
>"I deserve a raise each month"
>"I need more time off, paid"
>"AUGGHHHH my parents are making me pay for the cell plan now"

At the same time, laziness comes in all forms and ages. The absolute WORST workers have been lazy southern fuckers. The more they say "yall," the less work they seem to do.

Computers were invented by the greatest generation you dipshit.

VLSI was a literal no-brainer, baby boomers inherited the easiest to develop explosion of technology ever, the reason everything's slowed down is because millenials are working on problems that are way harder than writing a decent BIOS and disk drivers.

So fuck you.
>>
>>80012838

Thats how all the generations are commonly defined going back centuries you daft fuck

just because you made up your own doesn't mean that it is widly accepted, true, or corroborated.

I could invent my own alternative to classic arithmetic but it isnt going to get me hired at nasa.

Once you get generations every 6-8 years based on minor differences you end up with a useless jumble of labels that serve no purpose.

on the grand scheme ~20 year increments are good bite sizes of time to observe societal changes.

I'm 62 years old.

I feel very sad for all young people in western nations. Sad that they will never know how good it was to grow up in a white country, like I did. Sad that they apparently feel powerless and hopeless, even though there are now more younger people than older people. Sad that they don't feel they can get it together and change their future.

I hate it when people dump on them and say they're no good, that they don't know how to work, how to handle a job. That's bullshit. But I wish they realized their enemies created that venom as part of an agenda to persuade employers to hire foreigners instead of our country's own young people.

"Liberals" or whatever you want to call them, are young people's biggest enemy. I wish they knew that.

but the upper range (1980-1995) still have memory of a time when technology wasn't as widespread, yeah most of us had a N64 or a shitty desktop PC to play Age of Empires, but we passed most of our time outside, we went out with friends to play football or going around on bikes like a little kiddie chain gang doing stupid shit in the neighborhood... hell I think most of us still played with real toys

the post 2k generation is fucking weird, they grew up with broadband internet, social media, smartphones and the like and it's sad as fuck to see a 10 year old kid with a fucking Ipad playing some shitty mobile game instead of being running around making mud castles or something like us in our childhood, hell I doubt most of this kids know how to ride a bike... >>
>>79994638

I've got my issues with them, but I don't think they're as bad as many think.

>What do you like about this generation?

Well, they're the first ones to really point out how fucking backwards unpaid internships are. I've always had a problem with the idea myself.

They also happen to have grown up in an environment that caters to technology to a greater degree than at any point in history. They're not the geniuses their parents think they are, though.

>What do you dislike about this generation?

Self-entitlement. SELF-ENTITLEMENT. They were raised to believe that they could do no wrong. And, because their parents' standard of living was so high, they believe that they have the right to that same standard without doing the same work.

They also believe that too many things are basic human rights; healthcare at no cost, jobs, housing, and things like that are just some of the things on their list. They don't think that these are things to be earned, but things to be given.

They also are perfectly willing to suppress dissenting opinion and cry racism and sexism based purely on disagreement. "Rape" now no longer applies to non-consensual sex, but to unwanted attention, off-color comments, or just sitting a certain way on the fucking subway.

They embrace multiculturalism as though it is a virtue. They have completely abandoned the idea of the melting pot in favor of the mosaic. That is a huge problem.

>Is their work effort different...
Yes, but in both positive and negative ways. Baby Boomers will NEVER work through lunch. Ever. At twelve, they take their full hour, whether they work in Radioshack or finance. A millennial would.

They'll also treat any job as though it is beneath them; they'll show up late, or just not show up at all. If a retail location needs someone to cover a shift, the answer is "no."

Most are self-entitled pissants, but I don't think it's all bad. Millennials, like it or not, are going to have to pick up the torch eventually.
>>
>>80012793

thats just trendy self-hatred

Honestly, most care more about themselves than they do anything else. Like all teens/young adults, they're easily susceptible to radicalization, which is why so many are liberal (Thanks to overwhelming Liberal Social/ Mainestream Media). Give them time, call out their shit where you see it fit, and don't take any opinions they have too seriously.

>like
I believe the financial difficulty put on millennials and the simultaneous obligation to function in society despite the hardships is actually really good and will help the cream rise to the top. It's a shit situation, but will inspire a vigorous work ethic and increase American productivity.

>dislike
A lot of fucking hyper liberalism and a lot of whiny kids. I'm not even saying there's nothing to complain about, but it's evident that having a shit fit because it's harder to function in society than baby boomers will not get anyone anywhere.

>work effort different
As I mentioned, I do believe the obligation to function in society and the increased difficulty to do so requires and can inspire a harder work ethic. Some people choose to complain though, as I mentioned in dislike.

>plans for this generation as they get older
If we mimic the work ethic and drive to achieve in the earlier parts of the century, I believe America can be another world leader in progress. The nation was miles ahead of other nations in terms of infrastructure, education, (skyscrapers a century before the cities that are now building taller buildings). If this aforementioned work ethic is mimicked, I would like to see us developing better cities, better technologies and an even more powerful army (for defense) that far outpace our rivals like we used to.

>overall how do you feel about young people today
Like every generation ever, they got problems, but can do good.

Pros and cons of the two groups I've lived with.

American millenials:
>biggest con is apathy and disillusionment
>cant really be bothered to care about having a good country, consuming good media, maintaining good friendships, getting a good job
>believe anyone who is preoccupied with these things is a tryhard
>biggest pro is theyre harder to rally and brainwash than previous generations
>with the exception of sjws, millenials are way more chilled out and level headed than previous generations
>actually very resistant to shilling from having grown up surrounded by it, mostly they just laugh when old people try to make them care about stupid shit
>post dumb shit on facebook but dont actually believe in or care about it
>will probably not fall for the "live in debt forever so you can get a house and car you dont actually want" meme, they're happy to just smoke weed and chill in a crappy apartment instead of lying to themselves about a made-up middle class life they saw on tv
>still have plenty of great minds who will do great things. this is rare but present in every american generation

Vietnamese millenials:
>almost no pros
>obsessed with "modern" and "western" things but dont respect that culture or understand it, like weeaboos who somehow only know one piece and bleach
>brainwashed to love ho from a young age, weird mix of commie nationalism and insecurity about their third world country, constantly trying to pretend that "VIETNAM IS COMING UP GUYS JUST LOOK AT THIS POORLY IMITATED KOREAN HAIRCUT I HAVE HAHA WERE NOT IRRELEVANT ANYMORE RIGHT GUYS RIGHT...?"
>babied by their parents, behave like teenagers well past the point where theyre having kids themselves (vietnamese men also live with their parents for life)
>lazy attitude toward work and education

My sister is 10 right now and all she does is play candy crush or those other shitty tap tap tap touchscreen games on her phone, watch beyblade on YouTube or watch Pokemon on TV. She doesn't do around to play with her friends, she doesn't even know how to use a proper computer either.

When I was 10, I was jumping all around, climbing on huge rocks, making bows out of sticks and rope lying around, and pretended the thick bamboo sticks were swords

It's the same with all of my younger cousins, they play video games all the time. It's a pity they'll never get to experience the fun and activity filled childhood I got to expressions. For them the idea of a fun day is finding some shitty touchscreen game on their tablet computers or phones.
