I should mention that Johnnie Walker is one of the most fluctuating whiskeys in America.
Red can be as cheap as $20 or as expensive as $40, while Black can go from $40 to $60.
But Red also makes a good cocktail drink if a Red & Cola is too plebian for you.
I've had a Black whiskey sour; delicious.
Green is too expensive for me to ever consider mixing it with anything but one ice-cube or a few drops of water.
I also enjoy very heavy scotches such as Laphroaig but they are almost so heavy that I would certainly recommend a single ice cube or making it straight instead of neat.
I love to drink beer. I've put on 10 pounds over the past few months, though, and unfortunately I have to give up beer now :(.

As I've said before (and it's not exactly an uncommon opinion either) Walker Black might be better than its more expensive cousins. It is a middle-of-the-road blended scotch that does not blend with pure single malts but somehow comes out worth every penny. Just try not to get upsold on it, some places love to try and peddle it as a top-of-the-shelf drink that goes above $50 per bottle.
