Still, I think if a person is a true Nazi they shouldn't be a holocaust denier because it's an argument from a position of weakness. By denying the holocaust you are admitting it was wrong to do.

I read that in Vasily Grossman's notes. The rest of his war correspondence is excellent, and it's pretty clear he was present. His holocaust stuff is second-hand and comes off as fantastic. Still, "A Writer at War" is worth reading.

I'm sorry, I don't see that. I'm not a nazi but you can be a nazi and a holocaust denier without thinking that it would be wrong to try to kill all the jews. Just because a person thinks that Hitler wasn't trying to kill them all doesn't mean that person can't also think that it would be a jolly good idea if someone did kill all the jews.
I'm not a huge defender of Hitler either, save from the aspect that he is made out to be a boogeyman when really all he did (in my opinion) was mess up europe and lose a war - hardly the first person to pull that but certainly the most hated for it.
I'm not a neo nazi nor a Hitler fan, I simply think that the jews have taken advantage of the chance to play the victim card. I'm sure it sucked in the camps, and I realize that food and medicine shortages were awful and that disease was rife but I don't think any attempt was made to exterminate any groups.

You should watch Hitchcock's Night Will Fall. It's an actual documentary with footage. In it it's blatantly clear that typhus and other diseases was the big killer and several hundred thousand more jews died after the liberation as americans let them wander off into the woods and die so they wouldn't infect other people. You could speculate that the nazis during time of war took a more hand on approach and burned the diseased bodies. Mentioning this historical, documented fact makes you a certain type of denier though (can't remember what it's called) so be careful.
And while it does not excuse the concentration camps or the things nazis did it does put things into perspective.

Jews made up less than half of the deaths at concentration camps. Most prisoners were POW's. Most deaths were from lack of food and medicine because the German rail lines were cut off. More prisoners died as a result of Allies than Axis. The term Holocaust was invented over 30 years after world war 2 and was intended to shift the focus onto Jews and Jews alone. World war 2 is commonly referred to as "The Holocaust" and that is the central point we focus on and teach our kids.
People died and were abused, but there was no systematic genocide of Jews and Japan committed far worse crimes against Chinese and Russian POWs than anything Germans did.
