On the other hand, I've also seen many police videos of people panicking and reacting naturally to what is happening to them, and getting shot for it. In general principal, it is good to support your police. And, I can tell you from my personal experience as a criminal defense attorney that cops overwhelmingly are professional people doing their jobs extremely well.
I can also say from personal experience that cops lie about the facts and circumstances surrounding arrests or incidents with suspects. It is human nature. Not all officers are moral, or even good people, though most are as can be said of pretty much anyone.
