I grew out of being a leftist. After more than 20 years of supporting the left, I got tired of the only relationship they wanted to have with me was as a silent financial backer and shocktroop. They would never support me in times of need in return for my support in times of plenty. They would never take my positions or experiences into account. They would never treat me as a person. Never.
I wish I had learned that 20 years ago.

the ideology is sound. many asians subscribe to segregation from non-whites. i grew up listening to asians talk to each other, telling them to avoid going to black/hispanic areas to avoid being robbed, raped, and murdered. those that ignored it let their kids date into those pools and ended up with 3+ kids and turned into crackheads or dead from heroin overdose. those that do listen their kids are highly educated and making exceptional money. if you were expecting me to say there were exceptions, there arent. this is a pool of 40 asian families.
