How do I handle the cognitive dissonance of being a libertarian attending a state-funded university?

Simple, stop being a libertarian. You really have no excuse unless you're 15 or literally autistic. Your willingness to attend a state funded university despite "muh libertarian values" should tell you all you need to know about the worthless, contradictory, non-ideology of libertarianism.

Again a libertarian thread. Fucking abandon.

Probably the same way you reconcile a belief in the free and unimpeded movement of people with the reality that the vast majority of the world population consists of people who are not and will never be libertarian.

if the state you live in chooses to fund a university, i don't see that as directly contradicting libertarianism. libertarianism is really about voluntary association, individual freedom, and the right of likeminded individuals to govern themselves as they see fit.

I figure I might be more of Republican then. Just really hate the religious right and the bootlicking Trumpfags.

Easy. Just justify it by believing you are getting your tax money back.
>Cognitive dissonance.
>Implying its others who experience it rather than you because you're an autistic Libertarian.
> mfw people think libertarians = anarchists

Good question OP. I always wondered how you people handle the cognitive dissonance of being a libertarian while driving on public roads, benefiting from free K-12 education, going to state funded universities, benefiting from state funded police, etc.? How is Libertarianism even real?

libertarian threads in a nutshell
believe whatever you want, but when you're in a position to make a change, make sure it aligns with your views

>"libertarian" means "huhuh privatize everything"
I think you want the AnCap thread, m80. And tbqh, the roads are crumbling. I learned more outside of school than in, though that's not really saying much considering that they stopped teaching new material in the 7th grade. I went to a private college, and it was pretty great- meanwhile, sate schools are sjw infested shitholes that destroy knowledge rather than promote it. All police do is is cause trouble and generate revenue, they have no legal obligation to protect anyone.
