Yeah, he does--but the president isn't supposed to look so frail and decrepit. It's not even his face that shows his age--it's his posture and the way he speaks. He's always slouching and seems like he could fall over at any time if the wind was strong enough. Reagan looked old, too, but he stood up straight and spoke forcefully. He came off like a strong leader. Compare this speech to one of Bernie's (or Hillary or Trump for that matter):

Regardless of your opinion of Reagan's policies, he definitely came off like a strong leader.

>>
>>79870459
>He looked older than 53

Surprise, surprise--people in 1964 didn't have today's health care.

Actually though, it's a myth that Reagan had Alzheimer's in his second term or any time before the 90s. He in fact fell off a horse on his ranch the summer after leaving office and that could have easily done something to him from suffering a blow to the head.

Sometimes he was a little unaware of questions being asked at press conferences, but he also had some hearing problems caused by shooting guns during his movie career.

Forgot that part...
>On 7 January 2011, President Obama signed the 2011 Defense Authorization Bill, which, in part, placed restrictions on the transfer of Guantanamo prisoners to the mainland or to foreign countries, thus impeding the closure of the facility.[18] In February 2011, U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates said that Guantanamo Bay was unlikely to be closed, due to opposition in the Congress.[19] Congress particularly opposed moving prisoners to facilities in the United States for detention or trial.[19] In April 2011, Wikileaks began publishing 779 secret files relating to prisoners in the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.[20] As of June 2016, 79 detainees remain at the Guantanamo Bay facility.[21]

Bankruptcy only has a stigma because it costs the juden money. The reason for interest is that there is a chance of a default on the loan. The cost of bankruptcy is included in the loan. The juden just want to keep their interest payments.

http://www.cnbc.com/2016/06/11/new-york-times-digital-how-donald-trump-bankrupted-his-atlantic-city-casinos-but-still-earned-millions.html

He even said it himself because it fits into his image:

>But even as his companies did poorly, Mr. Trump did well. He put up little of his own money, shifted personal debts to the casinos and collected millions of dollars in salary, bonuses and other payments. The burden of his failures fell on investors and others who had bet on his business acumen.

>In three interviews with The Times since late April, Mr. Trump acknowledged in general terms that high debt and lagging revenues had plagued his casinos. He did not recall details about some issues, but did not question The Times’s findings. >he paid them back

That must be nice.

>all business men do this

Not "self-made" men.

>a few will fail

These aren't a few businesses he had after he created dozens of LLCs. These were key businesses that were tied into the majority of his loa- wealth.

He wouldn't be where he is today without the actions that scuttled them.

So?

>the president should be able to overpower Congress

If you think the branches of government aren't equal in power than you're incredibly misinformed.

The same reason that there is something wrong with most venture capitalism. Creating nothing for profit is not the American way. Too much of the Wall Street mentality is resulting in money being generated or shifted from no actual services or products being rendered.

Do you honestly think that helps our economy?
>>
>>79874998

They're not equal in power. The executive is stronger than the rest cureently. There is always a power struggle between the three and checks and balances of course.

The military falls directly within the presidents pervue. There's no reason he couldn't shut down Gitmo if he wanted. Hell, the first two years he had both houses of Congress, he should have gone through Congress then. Instead he decided to ram in the stimulus and healthcare bill.

>Do you honestly think that helps our economy?

The thousands of people Trump employs helps the economy.
>>
>>79875276
What Trump does has nothing to do with venture capitalism.
>>

So marginalizing it as a "few businesses" is taking these series of early bankruptcies out of the appropriate context.

I don't want a president who needs to have several failure before who knows how to make an effective foreign or domestic policy. His bankroll and investor's money won't be the only things at risk.

So you won't be voting for Hillary I assume?
>>

Ask Thomas Drake or Bill Benney how the DOJ treats similarly situated people who are outside the establishment. Hell, they were charged with having documents that were only retroactively declared to be classified.

Just look at Bill.
I would not allow them to run.

>Congress is weak

Alright.

>Congressional Republicans are pursuing multiple avenues to block the Obama administration from transferring the detainees, despite a defeat on the issue Tuesday afternoon in the Senate.

>An amendment from Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., to prohibit federal money from being used to build or upgrade facilities for the detainees failed by a vote of 57-43. But Republicans see several other opportunities to throw up roadblocks and potentially derail the plan.

You can't punch someone in the face and then complain that you hurt your hand.
>>

NOW who doesn't know what the issue is (protip: its you)

We're not discussing what powers are available to what bodies of govt. We're talking about the intent of a single individual regarding a single issue. Just because the congress can veto the president, doesn't mean he can't readdress the issue. Which he failed to do. So yes, you can hold him accountable for not fulfilling his campaign promises.

Even though this is bait, I actually agree
>>
>>79875761

At that point Democrats had a majority in both houses. No reason he couldn't push it through. The President who has issued the most executive orders in history, shouldn't have a problem with one more. He had no problem expanding NSA spying powers or assassinating US citizens or invading Libya and Syria without Congressional authorization. But somehow gitmo is a problem?

The question is moot anyway. Thanks to Obama's drone war, we don't take prisoners anymore, we bomb them and ask questions later.

>bankruptcies

Speaking as a finance professional, the type of bakruptcy he filed is not like your typical poorfag pleb's where they can't pay their debt. His type was a restructuring of the liabilities. Every single business in the world carries liabilities. Debt is actually better than equity for finance purposes due to this and that and tax law. Restructuring to change the rates and shift them around to different agencies or consolidate them is a strategic move. He still paid them all back.

Of course I wouldn't expect a liberal to know anything about business and economics.

Wow. All that thinking must have made you euphoric by now.

You don't think that Bernie's PR team might be TRYING to portray him as the all relatable common man? Nobody in their right mind would run for president without a marketable persona. Trump is a trustable businessman. Bernie is a senile old fuck who wants to be relatable. Hillary is a cunt who wants to continue obongo's tribal reign.
