You are registered by the church when you are baptized to the German state.
Also remember we have mandatory passports and you also have to register your current address.
When you get 16, as of legal working age, you will get a unique tax identification number send to you by mail from your next tax office.
When you get a job, you give this number to your employer and he has to pay the taxes and social securities for you, including the church tax, if it is registered.
If the church tax is missing the tax office will tell your employer.
And he will demand it back from you.
Usually you have to show your passport to your employer anyway, so that he gets your full legal address and name.
On your passport your religion is noted if it is catholic or protestant for this reason.
So he will register it right away.
To get out of the church you will need to pay a fee. This fee depends on where you live. It is about 30 to 50 Euro.
On top of that you will need a new passport, that part my fellow Germans do forget.
This will cost you 28.80 Euro currently, under the age of 24 22.80 Euro. On top of that you need to take a new, current passport picture, ready to be digitally analyzed, of yourself, which will also cost depending on where and how you do it.
A photo studio will also ask for some money. Perhaps 10 Euro? Depending on the place.
Cheapest way to leave church would be when you have to get your first passport at the age of 16 anyways.
I just remember about 8 years ago I paid around 80 Euro in total to leave church including a new passport.

There are very few theistic arguments that are discussed in contemporary philosophy. None of them are a major contribution to philosophy or pose a challenge to mainstream thought among philosophers.
Physicalism, on the other hand, is strongly build upon philosophy of mind, which is the most active field nowadays.
