I know you're trolling, but I do want to say this...
If there was a happening on the 4th, we'd never know. Guns and fireworks, for the most part, sound almost exactly the same, depending on the caliber.
On top of this, enough people get injured/killed by fireworks every year that most happenings would be swept under the rug in the ensuing 'gunfire'.
The only way for the US to adequately respond to a happening on the 4th of July, since it's such perfect cover, is if a building went down and/or upwards of 50 people died within a 3 mile radius.
