Psychedelics are more special than weed.

I always liked to make them scarce, space them out. Only thing I would consider taking these days is shrooms
>>
>>79782641
>Psychedelics are more special than weed.
Yes. EXACTLY.
Getting stoned is kind of shit because it puts you into the habit of not being on your A-game. I don't oppose weed on the level of wanting it banned or considering its use 'wrong', but after tripping a couple times it's starting to feel like an... uninformed choice, almost.

Like I'm asking using it to 'just' get high rather than listen to it or other plant teachers.
>>
Its been said before. Weed's fine. Weed culture is retarded.
>>
>>79783034
I can argue this much...

As a mind-altering drug, weed moves like molasses compared to psychedelics.

Weed (the right level - not too much) is a nice calming, unwinding resource that doesn't completely change your perception of everything in one dose.

Acid made me love the outdoors. Now when I smoke, I spend as much time in quiet shaded greenspace as possible. It's a very peaceful experience.
>>

>Smoke weed since 14

I'll say this, I noticed something recently in most of my pot head friends, we all have the same lazy eye on our left. Why is that?
>>
>>79782043
You've made a great argument for cheep, easy access through a medical professional/pharmacist.
Not recreational use as you, the end user, see fit.

I've been smoking rope for 6 years now
You and anyone who claims this needs to kill yourselves. You don't smoke weed to "expand the mind" You smoke weed to get high and relax and not think about shit.

Seriously I'm tiered of people thinking I'm a loser for smoking because of people like you. Die slowly.
>>
>>79784040
There are specific strains that do help with mental focus and creativity.
Bubba Kush is one of them.
Just like there are a handful of strains that help with menstrual cramps.
There is a huge variety of effects between strains. Look up a medical marijuana database, you'll see what I'm talking about.
>>
>>79784040
The fact that you're wishing death on someone for having different opinions may just be why people think you are a loser.

Smoke a bowl and calm down, chief
>>
Am I the only one who just gets more introverted and out of it while on dude weed lmao?
>>
>>79784201
Various Cramps or headaches? yes. Creativity? Maybe, if your a boring person. Focus? No.
You might think your being more focused, but your mind is drifting off into a calm rant ever 30 seconds.
>focusing on something while high
>gee, I wonder if I should do x. I really like x. *think about all the ways x affects your life*
>>
>>79784456
>smoking bowls
>not rolling joints
>not owning a large bong with a vape attachment
>>
>>79784549
It's true. But it's only a few specific strains. Very few have ever given me focus. Bubba Kush was one.
Green Crack is also the worlds greatest anti-depressant. No way in hell you're burning that without feeling happy. And that's really the only major effect it had. Not a whole lot of the psychoactive effects you describe.
Now, my buddy's home grown California Orange. That was melt into the couch and drift off into nirvana for three hours weed. That shit was dank.

But my point again, is every strain is different. And have a wide range of effects. Check a medical database and do some research.

I'm all for cheep easy access of medical marijuana through a medical professional, not some Joe Shmuck at the side of the road.
Recreational use is not a good thing.
The right strain for the job. Being my mindset. Which is partly why I stopped smoking. Can't get specific strains out of a dealer. And only specific strains are going to scratch the itch.

So does opium until your high wears off.
>>
>>79782043
Weed really does let you see into layers of metanarrative that are usually invisible.

Smoke weed and watch something non-fiction (news, docos, whatever) and all the bullshit parts of it stand out like dogs' balls.

This sense of thinking "around" things stays after you sober up too. It's great for lateral thinking.
>>
>>79785151
Opium is good for hunger pains too.
Can't help but think it's the next thing on the list after weed is legal.
>>
>>79782043
As soon as someone mentions the medical argument you know their opinion is basically worthless.

Sure, weed can be great for chemo patients who have extreme nausea and loss of appetite, and there's evidence for some other mild medical benefits, but that's not why you want it to be legal, pretending otherwise makes everyone seeking law reform seem dishonest by association, and there are better arguments for it anyway:

1. You want to get high recreationally. It doesn't hurt anyone but maybe yourself and you should be free to do so. Fine. Full agreement here.

2. Policing it is a waste of police resources and clogs up courts and jails with basically harmless people when those same resources could be thrown at catching amd prosecuting serious criminals.

3. It could be a source of tax revenue (and in some cases tourism revenue).
>>
>>79785195
I attribute that to the altered state of mind.
Like looking at something two inches to the left.
From a non centered perspective, things that seem normal aren't.
Also, you're setting yourself up to see things that aren't there if you do it too much. Which is why most hippies are crazy whackjobs.

why can you simply admit that the plant does different things to different people, the fact that you smoke and can't focus on anything doesn't mean other people don't get that effect from blazing it

Also what do you understand by "expanding" your mind? I could say weed has expanded mine because it gave me a new appreciation for music that I didn't have before. And I had a few experiences during my first year on weed when I smoked and meditated, which I'm not gonna say fucking blew my mind or anything, but they definitely got me thinking a while.

Also brain tickles, I don't know how to better describe it. It's just like that, tickles in your brain.
>>

Doctors issue marijuana permits for asthma in several states.

>We spoke to nation’s leading pulmonologists, Dr. Donald Tashkin. The professor emeritus of medicine at UCLA once sought to prove pot causes lung cancer, but the evidence forced him to conclude the opposite.

>Cannabis tar has more carcinogens than tobacco, but, Tashkin states, “we failed to find any positive association [with cancer].” Instead, “the association would be negative, between lung cancer and the use of marijuana. The likelihood is, that despite the fact that marijuana smoke contains carcinogens, we don’t see the same heightened risks of cancers that we see in tobacco.”

>For one, THC, CBD and other cannabinoids have been shown in cell and animal studies to kill cancer.

>Tashkin also states that smoking marijuana does not cause chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) perhaps because “marijuana is a potent anti-inflammatory and suppressive,” he says.

There is a reason modern doctors with medical degrees prescribe pot for asthma.

I attest from personal experience having violent migraines (pounding headaches, fever, chills, vomiting, dizziness and lack of balance).

I started getting them around the age of 10, after being glazed in the eye with a ball of ice and going half-blind for a few weeks.

It took me a few years to finally describe the medical condition I had (scintillating scotoma) to my doctor. He gave me a few medicines that made me feel anywhere from OK to very sick. I had a very limited window of time to take them, and they were also very expensive ($36 a pill!)

After it felt like the doctor's orders were cutting up my internals one time, I gave weed a try. It worked miraculously and put me in the opposite mood... A chilled, zenful, relaxed and steady mood that I've benefited from since.

Hippie stoner activists are annoying. They share one basic good point, though: more than anything else, they want the freedom to partake in an activity relatively harmless to others without going to jail for it. On that note, I agree with them.

Not to mention, those types are some of the best providers and curators in the market outside of cartels, especially in states where legal usage is strictly limited (i.e. "if you suffer from 1 of these 3 kinds of obscure cancer than you can ingest smokeless thc")

The sooner it is legalized, the sooner these people stop protesting and start getting to work undoing the cartel influence...
