The number of dead jews in the camps has been redacted so many times. It started at 8 million, then 6 million. Now it's around 250,000 for the deadliest of the labor camps. Germany had food rationing issues because they were being attacked by 3 different super powers (and still holding their own) so their food went to their non-prisoner citizens first as any sane country would do. The starving prisoners were humanely shot as to not continue the suffering and the zyklon B was used as a delousing agent because in prison camps lice was a common issue. It's statistically impossible to burn the number of jews that was claimed due to the size and layout of the ovens. The prisoners were treated very humanely. There was even a prison current that was used at exchanges so prisoners could buy things in exchange for their labor which was used to fuel the war efforts.
