First think about where circumcision comes from. I don't truly know, but I'm pretty sure it's the Jews. Now think about circumcision itself.
They remove the most sensitive patch of skin on the entire male body, (80% of the nerve endings). To put it into perspective, the male equivalent of the clitoris is usually removed by circumcision.
Now why would a practice exist that all but eliminates the incentive to have normal sexual relations and the pleasures that should follow?

Yes there is a large culturally-centered mutilation aspect to circumcision. No, that is not why your life sucks. Yes a lot of these things have applied to me at one point. Then I got in shape and got a good social life and all of that seems both sad and laughable.
