I've been to Canada back in summer 1996. I was 11 years old back then, me and my dad were visiting some very distant relatives. We spent the time mostly around Toronto and Hamilton.
For some reason I didn't find the Niagara Falls that impressive, but that museum near it was absolutely fascinating. I remember how amazed I was at the model/miniature section of the hobby stores and how much I loved that Estes model rocket. I liked how clean and peaceful everything is. There used to be ads in the TV that said 'You Are Canadian' and I figured that this is a glorious idea since even the 11 year old fuckup I was knew that a society needs to be patriotic to be successful. I also remember Hamilton having a considerable Hungarian community with their own scout movement and everything. Hungarians abroad tend to swear like sailors since nobody else understands what we say.
