What I meant is that I saw back then TVs for 10,000€ in the shopping windows and boots for 500€ while the average salary of a teacher was 300€. So the question is: who is buying these things and with what money? Then there is the oligarchs and every croney who got his hands on the businesses when the state sector got privatized - you had to have the right connections for that not the skill, creating basically monopolies in the (((right))) hands. So as far as I am aware the divide between poor/average and rich is much bigger than in Western Europe or even the USA.
