I think that's a silly thing to say. A language needs pronouns to differentiate things and it makes perfect sense to be able to express different things in a flexible way which would be hindered if words in a sentence were too tied to each other.

You should see how bad people are at speaking Swedish in Sweden. We write some words together, probably like what you do in German too. For some reason at least 50% of Swedes have huge troubles with this. The words get a completely different meaning if you write them together and apart. Like the word "black haired". If you write it together (like you should), it means "svarthårig/black-haired" but if you separate the words it means "svart, hårig/black, hairy". The rule is basically "if you say the word fast without a pause, it should be written together" but somehow people can't do it.
It always surprises me how on earth you can mix up the examples in your OP though, that's just retarded. Or "your/you're". It's not hard.
