I browsed /b/ for years, and one day when I was having a political argument somebody linked a thread on /new/.
Now I was a neo-cuckservative at that point, and was horrified to find that the place was full of unironic nazis. I started arguing with them, as were many other people, but after awhile I realized that we were always losing and I couldn't answer the facts that the other side was putting forward.
The Holocaust redpill was probably the hardest one to take, but once I finally accepted that everything else fell into place.
When /new/ was deleted I went into exile on the chon, and didn't make it back to /pol/ until the Zimmerman trial.

I came here when it was /new/ because 1. I browsed other boards anyway, 2. I liked hearing about things currently going on, and 3. I liked an alternative to the super liberal media that I enjoyed at the time (daily show, bill maher etc).
More importantly, though, is that I've never felt that certain words or beliefs or whatever are offensive. My friends and I have always said things like 'nigger', and I thought it was stupid that people got so offended at words that can be offensive being used in a way not meant to actually be offensive.
The actual redpill for me though was the Zimmerman trial. I was already moving more and more right, but the whole Zimmerman thing sealed the deal. I heard about some racist white guy following home some poor innocent child and executing him in the streets. I watched every day of that trial and couldn't believe how ridiculous it was. There was literally no evidence and that poor guy's life was ruined because of people seeing racism where there wasn't any. His SSN and address were aired on CNN, he was completely smeared. Not only that, but the amount of money wasted on that trial that never should have happened.
It's a travesty that Zimmerman even had to face trial, but it was my final dose of redpill and I've used it as an example countless times in converting my friends to our side. Even my friends who are still retardedly liberal think Trayvon was a little shit who had it coming now, but think it was a relatively isolated incident of unchecked liberalism.

Exactly. There were camps, and hundreds of thousands died because of typhus and starvation, but there was no deliberate plan to exterminate, nor were there gas chambers.
There may well have been mass executions in Eastern Europe as well, but that's something I've not looked into as much.

but however that was caused, it almost certainly wasn't the result of being pounded into the concrete. There are plenty of ways the scratches could have gotten there - fights are turbulent things and it's perfectly possible that Trayvon scratched the back of Zim's head with his fingernails. But if you look at the area where it all happened, you can see there are trees with low hanging branches - my bet is that he got those scratches from one of those.

anyone with half a brain could see that the prosecutor didn't want to win that case. The local PD received a huge amount of criticism for their bungling of the investigation, and resisted even having a trial because they didn't want to validate the Martin family's position. And Prosecutors always side with law enforcement.
There's also the fact that investigators determined that the fight started at the top of the path, and proceeded down it in the direction of Trayvon's father's house. Witnesses described someone running and shouting for help, although they weren't able to say whether it was Trayvon or Zimmerman. However, if Zimmerman were to run, why would he run further down the path instead of heading for the open street, and his car? Indeed, why would he run at all, given that he was armed and clearly willing to use his weapon. The most logical explanation is that it was Trayvon, running towards his father's house.

I've been on /pol/ since it was reborn on 23rd October 2011 from /new/.
The first "redpill" I ever took was the MLP fandom, which I was part of in 2011. That was probably the first real encounter I had with crazy SJWs and really weird fucks that I ever had. It was even worse back then, because there was no /pol/, counter culture, and speaking out was considered not normal and even hostile.
Ever since around early 2012, with the spread Anita Sarkeesian and Tumblr, I've noticed more people eventually started to think the same way I felt. I believe this is a large reason why /pol/ has became so very important and large. I am thankful for that in many ways.

I remember seeing a "/pol/ is always right" picture once with a swastika in it, so I decided to drop by and see what the hell is this neo-nazi board about.
I laughed at first, and left. I came back after a few days, just for entertainment. And for some reason, I started coming back again and again. I can still remember my first stage of the red pill. There was a really interesting story on /pol/, about leftie politics. I went to bed after it, feeling kind of strange. That was when I was about a month into all of this. Then, it just suddenly popped into my mind: /pol/ was actually right about that stuff, I can't refute it.
Some time went by. My brain started to connect all these bits of data and I felt this pattern emerging. The more I browsed /pol/, the pattern became more pronounced. Needless to say, that was when the red pill started to settle in. I saw things in a different way, and kept browsing more.

I used to browse other websites which became increasingly more hostile as the "progressive" meme spread. Didn't care much for politics before then, but once it became apparent that it was sacrilege to question the circle-jerk, the more I cared. Started looking for a website that wasn't afraid of actual discussion which led me to /pol/.
/pol/ was and is great. Yet now I just want to die as I realize ignorance truly is bliss. Take me back to the times when politics weren't imbedded into every irrelevant thing.
